Addy Hunt & the Secrets of Branceford Characters #1
Adeline "Addy" Hunt | Aqua: A 16 year old African-American girl and one of the protagonists. Addy is a sophomore at Saint Catherine's Girls Academy and dreams of becoming a performer. She's pansexual and cis, using she and her pronouns.
When she was younger, she moved to Branceford from New York City. While she thinks she's normal, that's far from the truth. She's part Oceanid through her mother. She discovered her powers after she was attacked by a Demon and has since been trying to think of ways to control her newfound powers.
Yasmin Gutierrez | Blossom: Yasmin is one of Addy's classmates and another protagonist. She is a Hispanic-American girl with an interest in becoming a biologist. Yasmin is bisexual with a preference for men and cis with she/her pronouns.
Yasmin comes from a long line of Nymphs and is half Nymph herself as a result. As per that nature, she has connections to nature and the Earth.
Yvonne Saint | Soleil: Addy's friendly rival and another main character. Yvonne is also African-American. She's next in line to inherit her mother's company, Saint Fashions. Yvonne is androsexual.
One of the treasured rings Yvonne wears is actually a portal to the Elserealm, her and the other characters true origin. She is a Soliade, a race of solar beings, and her parents are the current rulers of the Soliades - thus making her the princess of them.
Selene Xu | Crescent: Selene is the informant for the group with their mother being a teacher at Saint Catherine's Girls Academy while their father works at city hall. They're interested in being a journalist. Selene is Chinese-Canadian. They are non binary and lesbian.
They have some crude form of access to the Elserealm via astral projection and they are half Lunade via their father.
Selene has lunar powers and minor astral projection.
Cecily "Cece" Hill | Ember: Selene's best friend and the only one who does not have blood from the Elserealm. In fact, how she got her powers is a mystery that not even Cece can solve. Cece is an Indigenous Seminole from Florida and a trans lesbian.
Cece is on the school basketball team and has an interest in chemistry and other sciences.
Roxanne "Roxy" McClarkson | Shade: Addy's actual rival. Roxy is a White American and her mother is the principal of Saint Catherine's. She's asexual and genderqueer but uses she/her until she finds something better. She is a Darkite like her mother and her origins are from the Elserealm.
She is annoyed by her sister Maggie's bright and bubbly personality. Roxy wants to be a nurse when she grows up.
Magdalena "Maggie" McClarkson | Shine: Team morale booster and Roxy's very opposite twin sister. She may be cis and heterosexual, but Maggie is a very loud and proud ally. Unlike her Darkite mother and sibling, she is a Photonite like her father.
Maggie is the leader of the cheerleading team and is the one all the girls go to for dating advice. She wishes Roxy would stop being so gloomy and appreciate the lust of life.
Julieta "Julie" Santiago-Diaz | Spark: A later addition to the team. Julie is an Afro-Latina teen who just moved from their home in Mexico to Branceford. She is an Electrite. Julie is a demigirl who uses she/they and is queer. She has a crush on Selene.
Julie is a video game and math nerd and plans on going into game development for college. Plus they're the one the group goes to for math help.
Julie has electricity powers.
