🥇 What scene were you most excited to write? Did it end up being the one you enjoyed writing the most?

I answered this for my Victor, Mentor, Mockingjay series already so I'll jump over to another two fics of mine for this one!

The scene I was most excited to write in Who's A Heretic Now? was the final smut scene, and its build up!! I vividly remember dm'ing two friends of mine like "is it too crazy if I have Katniss break..." (you'll have to read it to find out what the end of that message might have been lol) and they both laughed and said "Nope! Love it!" so I knew I was on the right track! That smut is still, IMO, the best I've written! My goal is to surpass it in some things I have coming up/have planned but I'm so proud of it, so I'll be happy if I'm unsuccessful in that goal. It's the most self-indulgent fic I've ever written and I love it with all my heart!

In Enchanted to Meet You, the scenes I'm most excited to write haven't happened yet! But I will tell you that one happens in the next chapter and another I commissioned the wonderful @mandrake-mistakes to draw for me a few months back! In terms of the scenes already shared, I was excited to get to Katniss and Peeta meeting at the ball, specifically their varying POVs of that moment (Your eyes whispered, "Have we met?"// 'Cross the room your silhouette// Starts to make its way to me// The playful conversation starts). Then their first attempt at playing things up for the ton in Chapter 6 and the secret messages in that chapter as well (Counter all your quick remarks // Like passing notes in secrecy).

From your ask game regarding your amazing fic ‘to be know the way you should’

🔎 What detail(s) in the story are you particularly captivated with? Is there any behind the scenes info or backstory?

This is so tricky because I have only published the prologue and the first two chapters but I have PLANNED this baby and written scenes from all over the outline and I'm obviously thinking a ton about culture and social and political structures in Twelve but a lot of my fav bits are way down the road (my instinctive answer to this, for ex, is from the Merrilee romance plotline, which is a long way off).

But for where I am now, I've been doing a ton of research about the experiences of women miners since Ripper is really the only one we know in canon and Katniss will be starting that job in the next chapter of that timeline, and I'm excited to put it to use. There are some really interesting superstitions/legends about women in mines being bad luck that women in Appalachia had to fight when they were trying to get access to better jobs in the mid-20th century, so we might see some of that.

From a writing perspective, a couple of my favorite little detail lines I've written all year are in the Peeta section of chapter one, especially "A luxury made out of silk instead of sunlight." The only backstory there is that I was walking my dog and it came to me.

I already recieved some lovely fanart for my main fic, which is like one of the craziest feelings of my life!!! Art about my art??? Fucking crazy!

I think I would genuinely love a podfic of Fire in the Sky (although I'm currently editing a couple of old chapters cause the wording can very much be improved upon). I'm very much an audiobook/podfic person, but I hate the sound of my own voice with a passion!
