Other ships: Crack ship with Simmons... and I won’t lie, I do still like her and Tucker together even though there would need to be a LOT of shit to sort through long-term.
What kind of fic I’d write about them: Her side about her and Grif’s childhood. I see so much of Grif’s sid of it, but usually, Kai is just there to add emphasize to Grif’s problems and not allowed to have her own feelings explored. Something I’d like to see changed.
A favorite canon moment: Her calling out Tucker in S16. Love or hate that moment, he had it coming and I’m happy that Kai got to have her own agency and not be shamed for it. Also the end of S17 with her and Grif cause siblings.

A headcanon about them: She was quite bitter towards Grif when she hit the teen years because he was the closest thing to a consistent parental figure she had... and lets face it he probably sucked at it. She loved him still, but she’d much rather be doing her own thing than be around him, including things he shouldn’t be doing. It took him leaving/the draft story for her to realize how much he actually did at least try to do (moreso than their own mother) and that and the house burning is what convinced her to go find him.
A random AU I think up on the spot for them: Umm... AU where she’s a Harem Anime protagonist and has various cute guys and girls vying for her attention. She’d love that.
Anything else: I grew from finding Kai a pointless, wasted character to adoring her with all my heart.
