Just finished up on @jaybates86 custom hanger for his leather shop apron we made for him...I thought. I had a few minor setbacks. I have made a dozen or more of these hangers, I though my process was solid. I made the same mistake ......TWICE! I'm not afraid to mention that fact, it's about learning and improving the process. I tweaked my procedure and set up. This new process seems rock solid...only time will tell. I'm even thinking the shape might need to be tweaked to help the routing out. We are nearing the end of this custom leather shop apron handmade for @jaybates86 . All that we have left is finishing up his apron hanger and a treatment for the apron. This was a busy weekend here in the shop. I oiled @jaybates86 logo patc h for his custom leather woodworking shop apron. This will seal the laser engrave work from smearing. Next I dampen the edge, apply saddle soap and burnish the edge on the drill press using a cocbolo spindle. The spindle has different size grooves for different thickness of leather. Then I apply beeswax to the edge and the friction of the spindle melts and seals the edge.
