It was going to be a bad day, he had decided it before he went to bed. He had lost control early in the previous night, destroyed his clothes, wolfed out, met Aiden of all people in the woods. He was exhausted to say the least. So he walked outside his bedroom at noon, poured himself some cereal and had a late breakfast, his eyes landing on the package on the table, Ben must have received it before going to work that morning. 

After opening it up and reading the note in it, his day took a 180º though, and he had a smile on his face when, an hour later, now fully clothed and showered, he knocked on the wolf’s door, brand new bracelet now wrapped safely around his wrist.

“You said I could come at anytime“ he said with a smile on his face when Jason opened the door “Now is anytime, right?“

it’s getting to maxine - everything. her brother is here, and he hates her. she nearly attacked jessica, the next full moon is in a few weeks and maxine knows she has even less control than before with her emotions running so high. there’s only one person she knows who might be able to help her ; that being her boss.

“hey, jason?” she asks, catching him at the gym one day as they wind down for closing. “i...i was wondering if i could get your help with something?”

Erik: i didn't think you'd miss me so much, jayjay

Jason was still a little tried but he knew the sooner he got back to the normalcy of his day, the faster he’ll move on from what had happened even tho he was till in high alert. He looked up when he heard Maxine getting into his office, “Hey! How you feeling? you still have some days off,” he said with an arched brow. The smell form the pot almost made his stomach growl. He probably had forgotten to have lunch with how distracted he had been catching up, “Wow! It smells fantastic, Max… thanks a lot,” he grinned, “I don’t think I’ll be able to finish it myself,” he joked a bit because he probably could. He got off his chair and walked around the desk and opened his arms, “I do know… I know what it feels like when someone you love is in danger. I didn’t want anyone else to go through losing their person,” he sighed, “this dinner is great but I’m gonna ask for a hug too…”

the hug caught her a little off guard but, it wasn’t unwelcome. jason had done a lot for her without wanting much in return, and it was something maxine wasn’t very used to; people doing completely selfless things “good, because i made enough for you to share with your partner,” the woman pointed out with a little smirk, eventually accepting the offer of affection and hugging the alpha back. “that’s...good of you. you’re a good man, jason. don’t ever doubt that. i won’t forget how much you’ve helped me out,”

This new world was ridiculous. There were drugs, but you were not supposed to take them, people paid to go to a place just to walk without going anywhere, and now he was told he wasn’t supposed to tell someone if he liked them. None of that made any sense! Slowly, he was updating his knowledge and technology at his place and he had a television installed now. Without the need to sleep, Erik had spent the past couple of days watching the enthriling stories of Tory, Raven, Carly and Hannah on the Disney more. When did living as a human became so complicated? Interesting, but complicated.

With the Valentine’s Day happening, one question remained unanswered in his head, so Erik went to the person he knew would help. It took him a little over half an hour to pick up the werewolf’s scent on the street and follow it to a house near the beach. With an annoyed sigh, he knocked a couple of times, waiting for Jason to open the door.

“Why hello there, mate, are you busy?”

Erik was upset.

Actually no, he was confused and frustrated, he refused to be upset because of a puny human. It had been days since Jett left his house, talking as if Erik was some heartless monster and refusing to acknowledge that the man was a dragon and still the whole ordeal hadn’t left his mind.

He was a nice guy. What the fuck?

That’s why he found himself that night knocking on Jason’s door with a sigh.
