i could’ve kept going. i have had this in my notes for over a month and been adding stuff whenever i think about it.
warnings: swearing, mentions of animal cruelty (?), mentions of throwing up? idk
- jay is a neat freak. i don’t know why he gives me the vibe to just not be able to stand untidy and dirty things
- he irons all of his clothes, even his underwear.
- he comes from a wealthy background. my main man be talking like a boomer and wearing armani suits on his illegal activist missions, he grew up rich.
- absolutely hates that.
- he wears the suit because he likes to get ready with his 36 step routine and feels like the ALF really is his workplace so he gets ready as if he worked a 9-5.
- is punctual. like it’s creepy how punctual he is. never late never early.
- studied finances and political science
- got into animal rights because of a girl he wanted to hook up with and after hearing her talk for two hours he ditched her to start an animal protection organisation in his college
- there were three people at his first protest. two of them were his friends. the other one was an exchange student who liked him.
- but he didn’t give up, and flooded the cafeteria with red paint as a symbol for the massacre of animals.
- he went vegan in two days, threw out all of his leather/wool clothing
- got sick when he started to be vegan because you shouldn’t completely change your diet overnight.
- passed out twice a day but persevered because mans has passion
- also he’s, in a way, rebelling against his upbringing.
- he’s a white man after all.
- he gets in the ALF without being recruited.
- he literally just finds them and decided he was going to be a part of it.
- they were fine with it.
- he insists on creating his own team, going out and recruiting members himself.
- that’s why the team is a little bit distant from the main ALF
- he doesn’t care.
- he drinks his coffee very dark. mostly espresso, usually a double.
- drinks it like a shot.
- he actually prefers tea but will not say it to anyone.
- when he has a day off he likes to go to rescue shelters and volunteer because he actually doesn’t take days off ever.
- used to have a lisp.
- idk why but i think as a kid he did and he was so self aware that he insisted on going to a speech therapist every single day until it went away.
- that’s why he speaks very softly
- he is actually controlling all of his mouth muscles.
- (y’all idk this is very specific)
- moving on.
- hates kids. but he is surprisingly good with them.
- he’s the type of guy to be like ew a kid and then not talk to a single adult and play with said kid for two hours.
- until stains happen. he goes home then.
- first time an animal he was trying to save died he cried for two days.
- hasn’t cried since
- it kind of confirmed everything for him and he wasn’t going to waste even tears because of industrial farming
- one time he accidentally ate ham.
- threw up because his body was so unused to meat.
- but he felt so disgusting he didn’t eat for three days
- realised he really was not an effective and whole human being when he was starving (duh)
- so now he never goes on hunger strikes
- surprisingly good cook when he has time
- the hardest thing to quit in his diet were eggs
- he’s an annoying little bitch and i love him for it.
