Jay and Jessica get engaged, but Alex has a thing for Jessica. He tries desperately to get rid of Jay so he can steal her away. Tim’s a good guy and he takes Jay to his bachelor’s party somewhere far away where Alex can’t get him while our good pal TO tries to talk some sense into him. Things get a little crazy, and the party ends up in a “The Hangover” way with both of them loosing their memories and can’t remember what the hell they were doing. Luckily, they filmed the whole thing. Alex stole the fun tapes and burned them but couldn’t get all of them and the whole series is just them trying to remember everything and TO took Jessica away so Alex couldn’t do anything to her and she’s safe now and yeah. When TO Realizes that Alex couldn’t be reasoned with, he tries to go help Jay but by that time Tim remembered that Jay is gonna get married and Alex is crazy in love, he even killed poor Beardo cause he tried to stop him.. So Tim ziptied Jay to stop him from trying to find Jessica and went after Alex but of course silly Hoody, who wanted them to be together Sooo much set him free. But Jay didn't realize that Jessica was safely hidden. So Alex finds Jay before Tim even knows what's going on, and of course he shoots him. Summary: She blames the heat of summer for making her feel this way.
Notes: I actually wrote 25% of this in July because we had like 3 or 4 heat waves up here in New Jersey that it made me want to write a story lol. Obviously I didn't finish it until... about an hour ago, sorry sorry. But I did promise I'd post it by the end of the week!
Jessica was reading a book on her bed, enjoying the cold air blasting through the vents of the house. The hot weather of July made her want to avoid all possible ways to go outside in the dreaded heat. Plus, just being under the sun with all this dry heat made her extremely sleepy.
She reached the bottom of page 209 of her novel when her phone buzzed, indicating she received a text message. Grabbing her phone, she saw it was from Jay. It read, ‘I’m bored… come over!!!!’
She sighed, typing her response. ‘It’s hot as hell out. There’s no way I’m leaving this nice, cool home of mine.’
Her phone buzzed not even a minute later. ‘Oh please! Like my house isn’t air conditioned. Come over! I’m grilling my special burgers!!’
She shook her head. Jay Park’s “Special" Burgers (the so called “special" ingredient was his own home made barbecue sauce mixed with brown sugar and a bunch of other stuff he refused to tell her) were her weakness. They were so delicious that one time, she asked him to make one burger for her every day for 2 weeks. In the end, her arteries were clogged, but her tummy was satisfied.
How dare he bribe her with those delicious, savory, and downright incredible burgers. Jessica quickly typed her response.
‘… how dare you lure me over with those heavenly burgers… I’ll be there soon.’
Five minutes later, in a strapless, white cotton shirt and denim shorts, she quickly tied her hair in a ponytail as she proceeded to open her front door, inviting the blazing heat inside and allowing the cold air an escape. She quickly locked the door and began walking towards Jay’s house (which was conveniently only a few houses down.) Jessica reached his house within a minute, making her way towards the back of the house, seeing the smoke from the grill and hearing the faint sound of music guiding her way. Pushing open the gate with a slight creak, she saw a shirtless Jay in shorts manning the grill, dancing right under the blazing hot sun.
"Is it necessary to be shirtless while grilling?" she exclaimed, startling him.
Turning around. he held the tongs in his hand as he crossed it over his chest. “In this heat, yes it is necessary, my dear Jessica. Jay Park’s Special Burgers require the chef to be as comfortable as possible. My most comfortable way to be dressed is not at all, and being shirtless is the closest thing I can be to naked without frightening you." He turned back around, flipping over some burgers, dancing and humming along to “Bad Girl” by Usher, which was currently playing through his speakers.
Jessica laughed. "Gross. You’re a mess, you know that? TMI, my friend."
She sat down on one of the outdoor chairs, which was in the shade. “I hope you at least put sunscreen if you’re going to be standing under the sun doing that."
"To disappoint you, I didn’t." Jay turned around, giving her the cheesiest smile. All she could do was shake her head.
"Well, it’s just your luck, Mr. Park. I’ve brought sunscreen!" She took out a bottle out of her bag.
It was his turn to laugh. “Why the hell did you bring that with you?"
"Hey, I don’t want to get super tan during the summer. Plus, I gotta take care of my skin with all these UV rays and skin cancer scares… you can never be too careful."
Jay shrugged, flipping more burgers during the process. “Makes sense. Put some on me then."
She frowned. “You can put it on yourself, lazy."
He turned around, a hurt expression displayed on his face. “But I’m making the burgers for you!"
"No," she said without hesitation.
Jay gave her a pout, trying to be cute. “Fine. No burgers for you."
Now it was Jessica’s turn to be hurt. “Heeeey, you’re the one who made me leave the comfort of my cold and comfortable house because you promised me Jay Park’s Special Burgers."
He spread his arms wide, almost as if he was inviting her for a hug. “Then put some sunscreen on this hot bod!"
"You’re so full of it," she groaned, but smiled quickly after. She squeezed the sunscreen bottle until a decent amount went out of the bottle and into her palm. Quickly placing the bottle on the table, Jessica was about to start applying it when Jay turned around.
“Do my back first. I gotta take some of these burgers off the grill.”
Once he turned around, she started spreading the sunscreen, starting at the middle of his back and making her way out. She went to his upper back, letting her hands go over his shoulders and over the EKG Jwakerz tattoo. She then went back down again to the middle of his back. From here, she let her hands spread the sunscreen on his sides. She couldn’t help but stare at the tattoos he had on both sides. Jessica had actually went with him when he decided to get the one located on his right side, reading “passion” one way and “pleasure” the other.
She quickly made her way down to his lower back, and Jessica felt a little uncomfortable feeling around this area, yet her hands continued to smooth and spread out the sunscreen lotion. She grabbed the bottle again, putting more in her hand and taking his left arm. She repeated her same process, starting from the middle of his arm and going out. This arm was heavily tatted… every inch of skin of this arm was inked. Jessica couldn’t help but stare at some of them as she spread the lotion. A crown; a giant “S”; a hand holding the world; a mini Jay; a microphone; “Art of Movement;” “Forever Stay Grindin’;” “LIFE” on four of his five fingers… there were too many tattoos for her to name.
“I need to do your right arm,” Jessica said, grabbing the bottle a second time and adding more sunscreen into her hand.
Jay quickly put new patties on the grill, replacing the ones he just took off. “Alright, my arm’s free.”
She changed her process with this arm. She started at the middle, but she did the lower arm first. She spread the sunscreen all the way down to his hand, holding his palm in one of her own. When she decided to go back up the arm, Jay bent his arm a bit to make it easier for Jessica. Her hands wrapped around his upper arm, feeling the muscle flexing. When she reached his shoulder, Jessica noticed Jay looking at her.
“Uh…” she paused, hesitation in her one word. “What?”
Jay just smiled. “Nothing.”
“Well,” she started, grabbing the bottle for a third time. “I need to do your front... unless, y’know, you want to do it yourself,” she said, obviously embarrassed.
“Nah, you can do it for me.” He turned to face her, a playful smile on his face.
She groaned in annoyance, but didn’t object. Once she began applying lotion to his chest, the song changed to another, “Kick, Push” by Lupe Fiasco. She stared again at the other tattoos he had… some stars on his neck; “Heart of Lion” along his right clavicle; a lion’s head covering most of his left peck; “Always Come Proper;” dates of his and his family’s birth years; the area codes of his hometown and Seattle; and a quote.
“Uh…” she started again. She felt her cheeks warm a bit. “I don’t feel comfortable doing the rest…”
He cocked his head to the side. “Why?”
Ugh, he’s teasing me, she thought. “You know why.”
Jay smiled again. “Is my hot bod making you nervous?”
She groaned again. “Can you not be full of yourself for a minute?!”
“Then why are your cheeks all red, hmm?” He teased again, towering over her.
She refused to look up at him. “It’s the heat,” she managed to mumbled, pushing the bottle into his hands.
Not a second later, she felt his lips on her forehead. “Sure,” he simply said when he pulled away. He turned around, refocusing his attention on the grill. She watched him flip a few of the burgers before quickly covering the rest of the areas on his front with sunscreen she did not do.
Jessica touched her cheek with the back of her hand. It’s the heat, she thought. It’s just the goddamn heat. I just need to get out of it. She walked back to the table.
The song changed again, this time “Vixen” by Miguel. She heard Jay hum along to the song, occasionally singing along to the lyrics he knew. She placed her hands on her cheeks. They were still burning. It’s the heat, she repeated in her head. This summer’s heat has got me feeling this way. It’s all the heat’s fault. This is why I hate heat. It’s making me all nervous and… weird. It’s the heat, it’s the heat, it’s the heat. It’s all the heat’s fau--
“You want a burger?” Jay asked, snapping her out of the rant in her own mind.
“Uh, yeah. Sure.” She got up and went next to him as the music changed yet again, this time to “OMG.” He was holding out a plate with an already fixed burger with lettuce and onions once she got to him.
“I left out the tomatoes since I know you don’t like them on your burger.” He pushed the plated towards her.
“Thanks.” As soon as she took the plate, she took a bite of the burger. Yes, she thought. The burger never disappoints my taste buds.
Jessica stopped mid chomp once she felt her body being pulled backwards. The pressure came from around her waist, and she saw Jay’s left arm, the completely inked one, was wrapped around her. Not even a second later, her back made contact with his chest.
Oh god oh god oh god, she nervously repeated in her own thoughts.
“Is it good?” He asked, resting his chin on her bare shoulder.
“Y-yeah… it’s good,” she managed to mumble. She felt the vibrations of his laughter along her right ear.
“Of course it’s good, it was made by me!” he proudly proclaimed, tightening his grip around her. Jessica’s body molded to his.
Refusing to respond, she continued to munch on her burger as he grabbed the tongs with his free hand and flipped more burgers. His face inched a bit closer to her face.
“Can I get a bite?”
Her face was red, she could tell, but she refused to turn to his direction. “This isn’t the only burger you can eat, y’know.”
“Oh I know. But I don’t want to prepare another one because then I have to let you go.”
“…”
“C’mon,” he persisted. “I want a bite.”
Goddamn him, she thought. Rather than resisting any longer, she pushed the partially eaten burger towards him. She felt Jay take a bite, and he quickly mumbled a “thanks.” The burger was then placed back on the plate.
A small laugh escaped his lips. “Yes, I never disappoint myself with my own cooking,” he happily gloated.
Not being able to move even an inch because of his hold on her, Jessica watched the smoke from the grill rise into the hot, July air. Whether it was from the heat of the grill, the heat of this arid summer day, or the heat of Jay Park’s body radiating on her… she was burning up.
How much longer do I have to be tortured? she thought. “Made to Love” by Luke James began playing in the background.
“You’re really cute when you’re all flustered, you know that?” There was a playful tone in his voice.
“How much longer do I have to be tortured?” Jessica groaned, asking the same question she asked herself seconds before.
“Hmm… Not long.”
“So, can you let go of me now?”
“No… why would I do that?”
“Because… I’m uncomfortable.”
“Well, then maybe I should make you comfortable.”
“Can you please just le—“
His hand held her chin, turning her head to face him, stopping her mid-sentence, staring at her flushed face. “No,” he simply repeated, touching his lips to hers and preventing her from continuing. Jay kept his lips on hers for several seconds before retreating. He grabbed the plate from out of her hands and placed it on top of the cooked patties. Jessica couldn’t even think of what to do before he spun her around and kissed her again. The heat she felt all around her felt greater than before. Maybe it’s because she’s been under the sun for too damn long? Maybe it’s because she’s been standing in front of the grill for a while now? Maybe it’s because of Jay? Maybe the answer is all of the above? Yeah, probably all of the above.
Their lips remained locked onto each other as his hands trailed from her shoulders and down her back, stopping right at her hips, looping his fingers between the belt holders of her shorts. He tugged her to him, making her stumble forward. Her now unoccupied hands pressed onto him bare chest, but both hands swiftly found other places to be: one went on his back (basically pushing him as close as possible to her) and the other combing through his hair. Jay’s hands stayed comfortably on her hips. Jessica, with her face more red than a few minutes before, was the one to stop the prolonged kiss.
“I- uh… uh…” was all she could blabber out.
“What?!” he laughed, cocking his head to the side.
“It’s… it’s…. hotttttt,” she whined, untangling herself from him.
Jay roared with laughter. “Yeah, I agree… I am kind of hot, thanks for finally admitting it.”
…yeah, it was definitely not him making her feel so heated.
The girl twirled a lock of her blonde hair as she watched the boy entered the building. His almond eyes looked around the cafe, and his casual wear contrasted with everyone's business wear.
And for a moment, she yearned for him the same way she craved the sweet taste of artificial fruity taste of cherry cigarettes, she yearned for him the same way her roommate wanted to find love, desperate, addictive and simply wonderful.
"Are you new here?" she asked as the man approached her. He was an interesting fellow, he had a sweet smile, an arousing expression on his face, his muscle tee and his basketball shorts did nothing to hide his tattoos scattered all over his body.
"Why yes," he replied, his chocolate voice echoing in the small cafe part of the building. She smiled sneakily. He found a seat next to her, his eyes focused on her and only her. "I'm Jaebeom."
It was almost 4AM and Jay was studying his ass off. He turned the page, and then another, and then another until he finally looked up, seeing Jessica asleep, her head resting atop her books.
“Jess,” he shook her. “Wake up.” She didn’t budge.
He sighed. She was supposed to be up with him, studying her ass off, too, because they needed to study for their finals later that day. Yet here she was, knocked out.
Grabbing a black Sharpie, he started drawing a penis on her cheek. When he was done with that, he drew random squiggles on her forehead. He filled in the bridge between her eyebrows, making her have a unibrow. For the other cheek, he wrote “I LOVE JAY PARK” with a gigantic heart around it, with an arrow piercing through the heart and several mini hearts around it.
Jay recapped the Sharpie. “She’s going to regret sleeping on me again,” he said aloud, snickering.
