idk how relevant or helpful thisll be, but when i get stressed/wanna self harm, tearing up paper helps a lot. post-it notes and toilet paperwork too. its just kinda therapeutic ripping it into tinier and tinier pieces, it releases some tension :)

It makes a mess.
