Imagine how hopeless he felt when he looked in the mirror for the first time after escaping Arkham. Not only does he see a body covered in scars but he’s also skin and bones. All the muscle he put on after months of backbreaking training with Batman: gone. He can either wallow in this feeling, letting himself be crushed beneath the weight of everything that happened to him, which would take him down a path leading only to darkness. Or he can remember the reason he fought so hard to survive everything the Clown threw at him. If he wants to take down Batman, he has to bulk up, but before he can do even that, he has to be able to use that ankle again.
