y/n shuffles to her feet from her couch, rushing to her apartment door. she looks through the peephole, her face scrunching up when she sees sunghoon with his head low. she hesitantly opens the door, noticing sunghoon's face light up.

"hi y/n,"

"what do you want?"

"can we talk?" y/n protests, but sunghoon begs her. she contemplates this for a little bit before agreeing, letting him enter.

she purses her lips, meeting sunghoon on the couch.

"what do you want to talk about, sunghoon?" he looks down and grabs her hands, rubbing the back of them with his thumbs. "i thought about this for a second and i realize i shouldn't have done this at all. i'm sorry for lashing out on you, y/n. i'm sorry for not hearing you out." y/n stays silent for some time, she stares at his hands.

"sunghoon i don't understand why you're here now that you blocked me on everything. i thought you didn't want to talk to me." sunghoon does not say anything, he knows she is not wrong.

after a minute of y/n waiting for a response, sunghoon finally says something. "i know, y/n. and i regretted it right away. that's why i came here to talk to you in person."

y/n shakes her head, pulling her hands away. "i don't know, sunghoon. i get that my side of it was not good but you really did not even let me talk," sunghoon agrees, taken aback when she pulled away from him. "and frankly, i don't want to get in between you and heeseung anymore than i already have. i didn't think it would get this bad or that anything would even happen but it did."

"it's not about heeseung right now, y/n."

"he's your friend." sunghoon processes this, feeling a bit guilty for lashing out on him too.

however, his pride is too high to even think about him right now. or think about him at all.

the rooms falls quiet again, y/n scooting away from him. "this clearly will not work out. i think you should go now." sunghoon sniffles, hurt by her words.

now that he hears it come out of y/n's mouth, he does not think twice before already leaving her door.
