When Viktor has the babies, in their cottage in a calm perfect timeline, they come out a bit… off.

The arcane could never allow them perfection. But the babies are healthy, every single one.

The first had Jayce’s eyes and round cheeks, razor teeth and pointed ears. The second had tan skin and human teeth, she was green eyed and had gills that opened when she was bathed or went swimming. The third and forth, the twins, were purple skinned with sparkly golden eyes, their little forked tongues and webbed toes made them all the cuter.

Viktor was horrified at first, his body creating what he first thought were monsters. But Jayce never had doubts. Those were their children, no matter their quirks, he loved them dearly. Viktor learned, through Jayce after their first was born, that even though they may not look fully human, the children were 100% theirs.

Plus it was funny watching Jayce take little Tilly out to the ocean to go diving for oysters. She always won, but then again she always had the advantage of gills.

Maybe this doesn’t make sense but

Imagine for the Distinguished Innovators Competition Jayce and Viktor were given a photo of them and their trophy to show they won and in the photo they are both smiling laughing at one another not even looking at the camera itself just each other. Viktor’s smiling big with his teeth and all, not how he normally covers his face when he smiles/laughs. Jayce with his toothy grin and it’s like it is just them in that moment no one else matters.

Jayce always kept that photo on him in his pocket or somewhere on his person even as the photo grew old and tapered he still always carried it with him. So in the final fight in S2 Episode 9 he had it in his pocket in his jacket he was wearing.

I think that when they are spat out from the rune they’d be wearing the clothes they last wore so it would be Jayce in his battle outfit and Viktor in his(Jayce’s) blanket. And even as time went on they still kept those old clothes. Jayce’s old Jacket hidden away for years and years maybe just in a closet or somewhere no one bothered to ever check again. The photograph long forgotten along with the jacket.

And so maybe it’s been so long that they’ve lived here in their cottage by the stream. So many years that they have children now. Four beautiful children all of them. All varying ages and all curious just as their parents. Maybe the oldest was left in charge or their parents are tending outside so they all are snooping around their home and stumble into their parents room looking for anything to find. And one starts inspecting their closet and beneath many various things a weird old looking jacket is found and this is interesting none of the kids have ever seen what they assume is Jayce’s jacket(as this doesn’t look like what Viktor would wear or fit into and it was on Jayce’s side)wear this before and why is it so far back and hidden away?

They obviously must check this out and start messing with the jacket and find an old photo wedged into a small pocket on the inside of the jacket and for a moment they can’t tell who those people are. But it’s the oldest jayvikling who notices the people in the photo have Viktor’s moles and Jayce’s eyebrow slit and it’s insane to see. They look nothing like how they used to and now that they think about it they’ve never seen older pictures of their parents, and nothing on where they used to live before here, or how they grew up, all of these things are a mystery.

I’d like to imagine Jayce and Viktor would get confronted on this and seeing themselves before Everything when it was still early in their partnership. When everything was different and they didn’t know what would ever happen and how years later they’d end up here. I’m also wondering how they would go about saying these things explaining to their children their story. I think they would explain it when everyone is old enough to handle it and tell their kids their story eventually. But something I’m also thinking of is their initial reaction to seeing this photo. I think Viktor had never thought Jayce kept it all those years ago and would ever keep it on him or the fact he would ever see this again. It would also be like a flood of memories coming back at them I think.

Im not sure if my thoughts here make sense but i just had this.
