Sugar baby Dennis except it's just Dennis occasionally using the card Robby and Jack gave him to buy snacks and liquor for him and Trinity on their movie nights at her place.
But then one night they're all snuggled up in bed, bundled up in his pajamas under a fluffy blanket between Jack and Robby and he says that it feels like a sleepover. They tease him and Dennis turns red and says he's never been to a real sleepover as a kid. Robby is horrified, he'd gone to sleepovers as a kid, he'd been to camp, he'd done that his whole life. Jack shakes his head and says it's ridiculous, he'd done sleepovers, he'd slept in a pile with other boys his age in a field, if that counted.
So they tell Dennis to invite all the other "kids", both of them know the pittlings are grown adults but they're so young, to get everything he could imagine for a sleepover, and have everyone come over to the big brownstone they lived in, and have a real sleepover. Jack and Robby would stay upstairs, ignore the noise, just act like regular grown ups, staying away from the festivities, just checking in a few times.
Dennis told Trinity and they spent the most money they ever had, burning that credit card till they had Trinity's little car packed with snacks and pajamas and blankets and floor cushions and movies and face masks and palettes of cheap makeup and everything else Trinity knew could be fun. Robby just told him to have fun, Jack reminded him that the pizza place he liked delivered, and kept their promise, staying upstairs.
Dennis didn't know that having some friends over, being surrounded by twenty years old women, watching romcom movies and painting his nails and gossiping, he didn't know how much he missed out on.
