Reflecting
I watched you fall apart in front of my eyes the way your mirror did when it fell from the wall without a single touch, just, me-- pulling too hard at the curtains on the windows, the force rippling through the frame as the wire clung to the nail for dear hope. It is in times like these we cannot help but to self reflect so no wonder you shattered into a million pieces when things came crashing down-- how else could you see yourself if not broken? And I, incompetent at best, thinking I could make it right only managed to cut myself in the process. Walking through shards, barefoot in the dark wrapping my hands around every jagged piece I love you, still.
