Start Simulation Sequence:
Question One:
You are in your school cafeteria/eating area alone. Suddenly, a long, deadly looking knife and a simple block of cheese appear before you. A voice behind you says “Choose.” Which do you take?
I take the cheese
A vicious looking dog appears from nowhere and begins to bound towards you at full speed. How do you respond?
I rip off a piece of the cheese and throw it towards him After your initial response to the dog, a 6 yr old Amity girl comes wondering into the area absentmindedly.
a) If the dog is still alive, it advances on her aggressively. What do you do?
Throw another piece of cheese at him
b) If the dog is dead, what do you say to the girl?
"Don't worry, Sweetheart! He can't hurt you."
Question Two:
You are standing on a bus. It is hot, sticky and the atmosphere is tense. A middle-aged, scar-faced Candor man suddenly thrusts a paper in your face, and a familiar person is on the front page. “DO YOU KNOW THIS MAN?” He shouts. What do you reply to him [exact wording]?
"I don't think so, no."
a) If you respond that you do not know him, the man’s eyes well up with tears. “Please,” he begs “you could save me if you did!” How do you respond?
"Are you in some kind of trouble? Maybe I can help."
b) If you respond positively (yes you know him) the man begins to shout at you, calling you a traitor and a thief. He has his hands gripped fiercely on your forearm. What do you do?
c) If you respond ambiguously (saying neither yes or no) the man’s eyes well up with tears. “Please,” he begs “you could save me if you did!” How do you respond?
Question Three:
You are in a large auditorium. A woman is calling your name up to a stage. She is holding a box. The audience of around 500 people are all craning their necks and looking around, but they do not recognise you. Do you go up to the stage?
a) If no, the simulation ends.
b) If yes, the audience breaks into applause. How do you respond?
I curtsy and say "Thank You"
b) i. When you arrive on the stage, the woman shakes your hands and hands you the box with a smile. You open it on stage. What is inside?
A porcelain doll with red ringlets and a pink dress
b) ii. The audience applauds as you descend from the stage. When you are walking back to your seat, a small Erudite boy approaches you. “What’s in the box?” He says suspiciously. What do you say/do?
I open it and show him the doll
b) iii. The boy then asks to keep what is in the box. What do you say/do?
"Sorry but I kind of wanted to keep it." I bow my head slightly and turn to walk away.
The simulation has ended.
