I crave for geniune female friendships.
I am the loneliest I have ever been even with a boyfriend
I stared at old photos and videos of me before going to sleep last night. In those moments, I felt so insecure, but looking back, I was truly beautiful just the way I am. However, I didn’t notice it. I showcased my personality while subtly hiding my own insignificant insecurities. We think about ourselves with soo much judgement while looking at ideal physical appearances and the ideal way of living online. In a way, I am boycotting the media and the industries, by being confident in who I am. The amount of hours you scroll, benefits the system, basically keeping you stuck and insecure—incapable of achieving. It is sad to see women falling victim to plastic surgery or buying advertised products that keep the illusion of the desired beauty. The truth is beauty is subjective. Another person may consider a person that you find attractive, unattractive and vice versa. The most magnetic person, has their own insecurities or have made their changes to their insecurities. Or, in the best case scenario, they did the inner work to achieve the glow that others see.
I am not ashamed to admit my own battles. Going as far as idealizing an attractive person, assuming things, and diminishing myself. But, life is too short to be constantly at war with yourself.
A friend essentially told me that my feelings are stupid and that I should grow up. Mind you, these are my feelings, not hers. No one is ever going to disrespect me like that again.
