Heated Rivalry fandom, I witnessed the most adorable queer meet cute at a hockey game tonight. I feel like you all are the right audience to appreciate it.

So there I am at a PWHL game, and my friend and I (giant sapphics that we are) notice a really cute woman few rows ahead of us who keeps holding up a sign saying:

TRYING TO FIND 👀 MY Wife

Adorable. Love to see a queer lady who understands the target demographic of a PWHL game.

Then, a few minutes later, we notice in the section to our other side an equally cute woman with a sign that just says:

SINGLE

Now, it is obvious that neither of these two women can see each other. Luckily for them, one of the arena cameramen is in the area looking for people to put on screen, and he CLEARLY sees them both. So camera dude, queer ally that he is, films first wife sign woman, and then single sign woman. He then pans back and forth between them so they can see where they are relative to each other.

And my friends, love is real, because these two lovely ladies definitely both left their seats, chatted for most of a period, and then exchanged numbers. They even let my friend take their photo after, as proof the queer love and queer joy truly belong in hockey.

Reader, I was utterly delighted.
