My interpretation isn't to actually make the gossip blog a more positive place. But instead to flood out the mean stuff with the kindness & make the blog less manageable to run. Anyone can talk to fellow writers until they're blue in the face, but some people like the blogs and enjoy publicly calling someone out as a punishment against them.
That post was never about whether it's a good idea. If you want to try it then you should.
But also, my post wasn't for you. It was for the type of people who, when they don't get interest in their characters or plots, they run to the blog and say "Grant never plots with anyone" because that sounds more damning than "Grant didn't want to plot with me".
