Well I just picked up these Awards! I had no idea (nor did she) that my big girl @ema.nathan got them during her senior year in Highschool during one of the worst years ever. We knew she got a lot of waterpolo awards but never saw these! It was during 2020 when COVID hit our poor kids & the entire world! It was a very hard year for these kids they missed everything prom & graduation! But Ema stayed positive and kept focused! Perfect proof what you put in you will get out! Thank you JBHS, her coaches, teachers and the great support system she had. Jensen Beach Scholarship Night was a success! You all know We didn’t ask to be in this fraternity but here we are. I am trust Gods plan!! This group is “Powerhouse” from “Pop Show 40’s “Change the world” Show last night. I asked a mom when they started rehearsing and she said 6 weeks ago. These kids practice 7am to 9 am everyday before school then Thursdays for 3 hours plus they have school, homework and some even do a sport too. John Burroughs High School Choir is one of the top choirs in the US. They win a lot major competitions.The whole show’s vocal arrangements and ensemble choreography was so cool. (Better than a lot of broadway stuff I have ever seen and I was in the real “CATS”)These kids are just freshmen and seniors. You can see what kids can achieve with a little support and talented teachers. The PTA is also big here and Disney, Warner Bros, Nickelodeon and a lot record labels are its neighbors. Not bad for a public school! This is how it should be everywhere. All I know is if you make learning fun again “The world will change”. One of the main things that I share in Driver’s Ed is how our choices are huge. If we choose to get in the car with someone who’s been drinking there could be awful consequences. If you choose to get in the car and drive knowing you shouldn’t there are awful consequences!! I tell them multiple times “Wise Choices”! The only person and situation they can control is in the car they are in. Everything CAN WAIT when you are driving! Life is precious! We are NOT invisible...My daily devotion the day after I met with Jensen Beach High School students says “Our decisions aren’t just isolated choices. Our decisions point our lives in the directions were about to head. Show me a decision and I’ll show you a direction!” If you choose to text and drive or drink and drive that decision could be deadly or years in jail depending on situation!!
