This group is “Powerhouse” from “Pop Show 40’s “Change the world” Show last night. I asked a mom when they started rehearsing and she said 6 weeks ago. These kids practice 7am to 9 am everyday before school then Thursdays for 3 hours plus they have school, homework and some even do a sport too. John Burroughs High School Choir is one of the top choirs in the US. They win a lot major competitions.The whole show’s vocal arrangements and ensemble choreography was so cool. (Better than a lot of broadway stuff I have ever seen and I was in the real “CATS”)These kids are just freshmen and seniors. You can see what kids can achieve with a little support and talented teachers. The PTA is also big here and Disney, Warner Bros, Nickelodeon and a lot record labels are its neighbors. Not bad for a public school! This is how it should be everywhere. All I know is if you make learning fun again “The world will change”.
