@/zombiedeers and I were talking about Kermit's performers earlier, and while I'm not a big fan on discussing which performer was/is better etc. etc.

We both agreed that Steve's performance as Kermit grew bittered over time, that by the end of it, Kermit became crass and irritated by not only to his fellow muppets, but to his whole career as a performer himself. Which is heart breaking when you think about how we kind of see Kermit slowly fall out of love with the very thing he's most passionate about, along with the people he enjoyed working with the most. His friends.

Now, this is how I choose to see it. I said that Steve's Kermit was him experiencing long term grief after losing Jim. I imagined how much it took a toll on him losing the most important person in his life. The person that brought him to life and experienced all the ups and downs with. I can imagine how such a loss could change him. While he continued moving forward through out the years, a part of him was still missing. How he's been acting during the years prior, were the cracks of grief bleeding through, and it affected his relationships and career.

Matt's performance as Kermit, along with the recent Muppet Show special, is Kermit allowing himself to heal and find that love for performing again. Not just finding love for the stage, but rebuilding and strengthening bonds that have grown distant. This isn't just a one man show, but a group effort that builds up a family.

As corny as this may sound, what brings the Muppets together in the end is heart, and I think they were able to find it again.

Do Beleth and Moloch know each other?

I personally have the mental image of them having a interaction akin to the one Abaddon had with that demon I forgot the name of in uhh I think it was ep 1 of haunted hotel.

There isn't any text where they do know eachother (realistically speaking), but I think it adds more to this scene. Moloch has no clue who Beleth is and I think the same goes for Beleth. I could go further with this if the motivation comes.
