I think it's interesting that Animal doesn't speak in full sentences unless they're song lyrics
This could mean either:
Stringing together his own sentences are harder, but song lyrics are easy to remember due to the rhythm
He can speak in full sentences and just doesn't
I'm leaning toward the first option because there are so many instances where it would have been easier to speak 'normally,' if he were able, but he doesn't, so I think maybe singing is easier because his brain has already locked in the rhythm and beat of the song, so it comes out fluidly.
Maybe it's a similar phenomenon to how we store language in our brain; Regular language gets stored in a different area of the brain than curse words. This is why stroke and dementia patients can still curse up a storm but regular speech is much more difficult, because the brain holds onto those words differently
Maybe Animal's brain just stores away music in a different part of the brain than it does speech, and that's why it comes out fluid and coherent

When they had a scary movie date, it started with Piggy snuggled against Kermit for "comfort" because in her mind, that's how the cliché is 'supposed' to work out. It ended with Kermit in her lap because the movie had genuinely scared him. She didn't really mind the change of events
Despite how skilled at fighting and strong she is, Kermit knows Piggy still enjoys being treated like she's delicate and he'll help her in and out of cars by her hand and hold her umbrella or parasol for her when it's sunny out
Piggy has a gaming channel and occasionally Kermit joins the games and it's like a reverse gamer-girlfriend scenario where Kermit is the one exploring the scenery and Piggy is the one constantly covering his back and making sure he doesn't die. He lowkey stresses her out with his wondering off but her fans adore their dynamic
Sometimes they nap together on the couch with Piggy laying on top, but it's usually just her head and chest so she doesn't crush him. Kermit plays with her ears and actually enjoys the pressure her weight provides since he's a chronically anxious wreck.
When they were younger in their 20s, there were quite a few nights they'd be up late in the dimly lit kitchen getting snacks together with Piggy leaned against the counter and Kermit sitting on top of said counter while they just chatted quietly by the light of the single bulb above the stove
It's not uncommon for Kermit to follow Piggy around and brush her hair and pull it up while she's in a rush to get ready to leave the house
One time they had a show in Italy so the whole cast flew out and Kermit spent like 75% of his time there just looking for Piggy because she kept running off to shop. She was never too far from him though, because she has a bunch of pictures on her phone of Kermit stressed out and looking for her while she was just across the street somewhere
If Piggy cups Kermit's face, he leans into it like a dog receiving pets and she's amazed by this everytime she does it
Piggy likes to sing to Kermit and serenade him during the least romantic moments because she thinks it's funny. This includes singing to him through the door while he's in the restroom, protesting. One time he perfectly harmonized his 'noooooo' with her singing and it made her laugh really hard
Piggy snorts when she laughs and she hates it but Kermit thinks it's the most adorable sound he's ever heard
Kermit is great at cooking and Piggy is great at baking, but both of them suck ass at each other's culinary skills
Piggy likes to pick Kermit up and carry him around, and while he verbally protests, he ultimately just accepts it
When they were younger and still just starting to date, Piggy said, "I love you so much I'd do anything for you. I'd even help you shed your skin :(" And Kermit just kinda looked at her like, "Piggy I'm a frog, we dont shed our skin-" to which she quickly cut him off with, "Thank god, I really didn't want to do that." It's been years and he still thinks about that strange statement.
Anytime she has a dress that fastens in the back, Kermit always helps her and is super gentle about it, even brushing her hair to the side so it doesnt get caught in the zipper
Kermit has all of her makeup brands and shades memorized so he can get her gifts
Piggy doesn't like bugs but she's memorized which ones are Kermit's favorites and will get him snacks with said bugs baked inside. The thought makes her queasy but it's what her frog enjoys so she toughens it out
Piggy is like a living radiator so in the winters, Kermit tends to snuggle up to her in bed, but in the summer they usually have a foot of space between them and separate blankets (but they'll hold hands to maintain connection)
everyone needs to get weirder, yes, but also get kinder. get more supportive. get more loving. be good to your fellow fans, especially the creatives who give you art and gifs and fics and fancams and and and. treat each other well because on tunglr dot hell, we are all neighbors. and neighbors look out for each other
