What if... Daolon Wong won with the Deja Vu stone? What he change in the timeline?
[[ Probably all his losses lmao. Also he would probably go back and tell his past self not to listen to anything Shen Du says xd
This does bring up an interesting thing tho I talked about with @caruncula a while ago about how off it feels that Wong was just left in the past. Like yeah he’s “disenchanted”, but who’s to say Wong wouldn’t try and change certain things in the past? Like trying to warn Valmont that Shen Du will betray him and talk about what he went through with the demon? And if that doesn’t work, what if Wong meets up with his past self, they team up, they get the Deja Vu stone in the past, then they both come back to the present and wreak havoc? ]]
Can i ask for some What if...? moments in Jackie Chan Adventures, like Marvel's What If...??
[[ Duuuuuuuuude, I love this idea! I already keep up with Marvel's What If... ? series (really good to watch btw if you're a Marvel fan) and it's so cool! This basically sounds like submitting your AUs and ATs into a JCA Multiverse.
Yes please, send them in! I'd love to hear and share in return!
Ever think of making some oneshots or fanfics on these What ifs? If you want some inspiration on explaining these what ifs, check out Youtuber The Canadian Lad. He can spot the concepts and references on what if and the mainstream and the what ifs and make it sound real interesting! Just saying.
[[ Thinking of multiple one-shots for some What-Ifs require a lot of thought, energy, and creativity to create. I can already imagine the burnout of doing that.
However, there are some ideas I'm currently playing with, but I'm not sure if I would want to go on with them at the moment. ]]
If section 13 didn't have donut day I don't think Tohru would join the Chan clan or section 13. He'll just try to find some other line of work? Perhaps a regular job or a different gang like the Ice Crew, etc?
[[ Mm, I don't think so. Tohru getting free donuts on Thursdays is cool, but the donuts didn't motivate him to become a good guy. I also don't think Tohru would want to join the Ice Crew because they're steps down from crime syndicate level and he would have much less to gain working with them. He wouldn't join another gang either because he was offered the very tempting chance in the episode Mother of All Battles, and opted to stick with the Chans.
This post is gonna be a little lengthy because I'm a big fan of Tohru, so here goes:
The instances in season 1 where Valmont disrespects Tohru build-up to Tohru leaving the D.H. and joining the Chans and Section 13. The episodes The Dog and the Piggy Show and Tiger and the Pussycat are big examples of this as Tohru grows tired of losing more talismans and most importantly, Valmont's growing unappreciation of him.
In The Chosen One, Tohru said he enjoys serving people, especially those he likes. So in Day of the Dragon, you can see the moment where Tohru loses the remaining respect he had for Valmont when he makes Tohru fight the fully-charged Shen Du, fully knowing Tohru could die.
As the final nail in the coffin, Valmont never bothered checking on Tohru after this; the first thing Valmont did after he and the Enforcers got arrested and broke out of Section 13 was to go to Hong Kong to steal Shen Du's treasures behind his back. When Shen Du and his castle got destroyed, the D.H. took the talismans and came back to San Franciso for a bank heist. Valmont hardly spared a thought for Tohru during this time, he just replaced his strength with Hak Fu.
But the Chans did.
After all Tohru had done to him and his family the entire season, Uncle entrusted Tohru to watch the shop when they left to fight Shen Du. Tohru, the Dark Hand criminal who had the man kidnapped, tried to kill his nephew, and almost cut his great-niece in half! Tohru! Uncle values his shop and home, no way he'd trust it to someone he couldn't rely on (I also feel like Uncle made Tohru stay behind so he wouldn't get killed by Shen Du, but that's just me).
I imagine Uncle sensed the remorse and good in Tohru when the latter came in, injured and all, to give the Chans as much help as he could offer to defeat the demon. Seeing the kindness Uncle offered in spite of everything he'd done made Tohru want to turn over a new leaf, and what better way than working under the Chans? ]]
