Soooooo me @sunflowerygraveyard and @alyssatheshetposter are making a purely headcanon based mod of Jackpot Crash Course purely for fun and the hell of it. We are using all of our ocs plus other ocs we will be making later to be their very own season that is set 2 years before the current game.
It's mostly just for fun! nothing serious or fully committed to yet but yea. We have headcanon that not only is every season a different theme as the set and staff uniforms, but that also as you see here- Cupid was Vick's assistant before he eventually takes over after. (it's a cool idea in our head.) The season we are making has a Mafia/Mobster & Luxury theme.

Eddie Headcanons (21):
General:
has asthma but couldn't care less
he’s only had minor asthma attacks, nothing that bad (yet)
Emo/Goth phase as a kid, which is why he's not that bothered by his hair in Bet and Forgive.
Can play the drums really well.
Family:
has a younger sister, she moved far away for college. He hasn't seen much of her since then.
Eddie also moved away -not as far since he was nervous- for college and has stayed in the same area until his arrest
His parents were kind of helicopter parents and didn't let him do a lot on his own. They were more carefree with his sister, but still pretty overbearing
Eddie was actually a really good big brother, he would play more girly games with his sister or let her put him in dresses and makeup to make her happy
His sister pierced his ears as a teenager because she wanted to pierce her own. Their parents said no, so she was going to do it herself but wanted to test it on Eddie first.
His ears got infected and the holes closed up after a couple years, and it took that long because he kept trying to make it work. It never did. His sister never pierced her ears because of that.
His sister stopped talking to him after he came out before she left for college.
His parents took a bit of time to come around to the idea, but were supportive and loved him no matter what.
Started distancing himself from his family because of their poor reactions
Past:
used to be a heavy drinker, the addiction got so bad he got into heavy debt -partially because of his student loans- and was forced to go to AA
recovered after a good amount of months, trying to stay sober but still has his moments. It was muscle memory for him to reach for Benny's beer in the pool scene during Part Two of Chapter One, which is why he looked so upset about picking it up.
He trusts himself enough to be around alcohol now, just not drink it
heavy smoker, has a bit of a raspy undertone to his voice because of it. realized he was repeating a pattern and it was turning into an addiction, so he's been cutting himself off some. still smokes a lot, just less to feel in control
stayed away from casinos since he didn't want to worry about it turning into another addiction
Eddie wasn't heavily bullied in school, but definitely made fun off more often than not. He was bullied for his weight, looks, style, whatever else.
He would stand up for himself though, the bullying never got too far. He let most of it slide since he has fairly thick skin, but did snap at people from time to time
Eddie actually was a good student, got all As or Bs. Teachers liked him since he was quiet and smart
Benny Headcanons (22):
General:
Pansexual
Commitment issues, never is fully engrossed in his romantic relationships
Has a bit of a nasally voice
Needs glasses but refuses to wear any, though his sunglasses are perception. He put them on after Eddie hit him to get a better view of his face since he wanted a better view of his facial expressions
Can't smoke without having a coughing fit, but loves his booze
Really loves those classic ‘girly’ drinks, but when trying to impress someone he will only drink beer in front of them. Unless he gets too drunk, then he stops caring.
Family:
has two moms, calls them mama and ima. no reasoning, purely based on vibes. also adopted
only child, his moms could barely handle him
comes for an upper-middle class family
Never came out to his moms. Just pulled up with whoever he was dating and introduced them. His moms rolled with it and never asked too many questions.
Past:
His biological mother ran out on him when he was a baby, which led to him resenting her. Has seen photos of her, but never bothered to learn more.
He knows nothing about his father.
HATES his natural hair color since it ties him to his biological mother, yet refuses to admit it. He eventually started to dye it himself with the aid of YouTube ‘How To’ videos
is scared of elevators due to the fact he got stuck in one with his moms at the age of four. It was only for five minutes and the doors were jammed at the ground floor. He was convinced they were going to die
He really wanted a dog growing up, got a goldfish instead. Disappointed, but loved it none the less. Named it Oreo
would hold his breath when walking past smokers as a little kid
wanted to play football and/or wrestling in middle and high school, but was too much of a light weight with not enough muscle. weirdly good at tennis and volleyball
Was a band kid, played the oboe. Sucked at it and never practiced, yet somehow got first chair.
Likes to say he was popular in high school, he was not
Wanted to play the electric guitar, bought one in his early 20s. Never learned to play.
Really wanted to be a NASCAR racer for the longest time, never got that chance.
Him and Bones dated. Bones was the closest Benny’s had to a committed relationship, but they had a fight -some thing big but idk what- and broke up. Benny takes it very personally since this is the first time a breakup actually hurt him, and heavily blames Bones for it
Sailor Headcanons (16):
General:
Really likes tuna fish sandwiches
Really good at painting and drawing, mostly draws boats. Even designs his own boat to be the captain of when he grows up.
LOVES the song ‘In The Navy’ by The Village People, knows all the lyrics and can clap the whole thing true to the original
Family:
His parents are absent, literally did the bare minimum of keeping him alive.
Only child
Has an aunt (his dad's sister) that was more of a mom to him then his actual mom.
His aunt couldn't have children of her own, so treated Sailor as her son. It was easy for her to do that since his parents were the way they were.
His aunt would throw him birthday parties, give him gifts, sign permission slips, give him money, and gave him an actual childhood.
His uncle would help his wife by playing games with Sailor or getting him presents. Unfortunately he traveled a lot for his job, which means he wasn't as active in Sailor’s life as he wanted to be.
His grandpa (the one that owned the compass) would baby sit Sailor a lot until he was 14, then his grandpa passed away.
Sailor's aunt helped him get the job on the dock by looking for openings, but she didn't read enough into it and didn't know it was illegal. Sailor figures that out when they interviewed him, yet he didn't care.
His aunt feels guilty for being the reason Sailor got the job that landed him in prison, she fell into a bit of a depression.
Past:
Sailor got a job on the dock not only so he could have money to buy what he wanted, but he also had to work his way up the chain to get on a boat.
Cried when he lost his first tooth because he thought his skeleton was falling apart
His friends made him do theater with them in high school, actually did really well with auditions
Got a leading role, but kept improving to make it about sailing. Got demoted to a supporting role, still kept making it about sailing. Got moved to set design, did a really good job there.
Sandbag Headcanons (4):
General:
Sailor reminds him of one of his siblings, which is part of why he's so protective of him.
Still has a shark plushie (you know the one) on his bed, still sleeps with it.
Family:
Had a large family, the oldest of eight kids- including him. Amazing big brother, would beat up anyone who hurt his siblings.
Past:
Believed in Santa Claus until he was 14

General:
Strong dislike towards last season’s winner not only for their crime, but also they're responsible for the death of a contestant Rook really liked and thought deserved a pardon the most.

Cecilia Headcanons (7):
General:
Lesbian
100% a manipulative partner. She will gaslight gatekeep girl boss her way into getting what she wants
Only reason she spared Rook from dying is because she figured out how loyal Rook is, so if she could get Rook to be devoted to her she could use Rook to win.
Cecilia will make herself look like an angel to others -expect how harsh she can be at times- until presented with a situation where she needs to act, then she will. She's not afraid to show her true colors.

Family:
Only child, middle class family
Had a normal childhood, not many hardships growing up
Past:
Gambled all the time before she got arrested, could easily double her winnings
She used to work as a fashion designer
Would get bullied at school, but was quick to shut it down. Played the ‘my dad is the principal’ card, even though it’s a straight lie. Everyone believed her though.

When it comes to what I think Bones did to make Benny hate him so much, I have many (two) ideas:
cheated on Benny while under the influence, told Benny right away and hoped they could work it out. Benny was very hurt by this and broke up with Bones immediately.
Bones was ready to get more serious and be official -maybe even get engaged- while Benny wasn't ready for that next step. Benny was too panicked and stressed out about it, resulting in them breaking up. Benny believes Bones pushes him towards that stage too early and really hurts him, which Benny never truly healed from.
Elise Headcanons (6):
General:
Steals candy from small children

Family:
Was in foster care for his entire childhood, never bothered to learn anything about his biological parents.
Went from family to family because no one wanted to deal with a ‘violent’ and ‘broken’ child

The gang took Elise in since it proved himself to be a valuable asset while he was still in fostercare, so he moved in with them after it left fostercare.
Vega Headcanons (5):
General
Had a Bill Nye obsession in elementary (primary) school
Doesn't like the taste of pork. Could never be a cannibal. Yes these things are related
Gets pretty bad headaches super easy, yet refuses to take meds (projecting? What's that?)
Family
lived with her grandparents since his parents died when Vega was three.

was the kid that told the other kids ‘Hansel and Grental’ was about people leaving their kids to starve in the woods during famine
Poppy Headcanons (17):
General
Can't stand touching chicken. Or eating it. She can stomach chicken nuggets if drowned in ranch, but that's about it.
Has sensory issues. She won't start crying unless it gets really bad, but she will verbally shut down and get irritable. Can't stand bright lights, loud noises, weird textures, none of it (totally not projecting what that's crazy)

Parents got divorced when she was only a few months old.

Her parents had her when they were 38 (mom) and 37 (dad).
Her dad was genuinely such a good girl dad, he could french braid her hair and everything
Her mom remarried when Poppy was 8, she never liked her stepdad because it felt like he was trying to replace her biological father.
Poppy’s bio dad never remarried, was a single father who worked two jobs. He’s Poppy's favorite, yet she still acts indifferent about him.
Past
After her arrest, her parents stopped talking to her. She didn't care or blame them.
Now that she's on Bet or Forgive, Poppy's parents are panicking and trying to get in contact with her. Even her brother wants to.

Benny actually tans pretty well, and it surprises those who think hes an actual ginger
Eddie does not tan. He is burnt after 0.0001 seconds of sun exposure without sunscreen
Benny really likes spraying people who are relaxing with water guns, bonus points if they have a book or phone out
Benny will try to convince Eddie to jump into the water by saying "don't worry I'll catch you!" but the moment Eddie jumps in Benny moves out of the way and does in fact not catch him
They are a really good duo in beach volleyball
Benny constantly wants to be in the water or doing some sort of beach activity an is always begging Eddie to do ANYTHING with him

Forgive me for my rose colored lenses but I just can't see Vick as someone who legitimately will want to hurt people unless he has to. Maybe for survival, maybe for the sake of making the show he ran entertaining.
Oh we wanna get more views for beg and forgive, Vick, any ideas? Make them suffer. Let there be drama. Let them starve, struggle to survive, fight among the others. That'll keep the audience hooked. Oh also make everything really expensive with the chips. Make it specifically for things that help comfort them, like cigarettes, food, blankets, etc.
But Vick, if he's directly with a group, and he's using them to help them, maybe he can be a little nice and give some extra chips. He's not the show runner anymore, but he knows he needs to gain other's trust somehow. Does he want to kill people or hurt them? No. Not really. Not unless it's necessary. Which is why I think he refrained from actually hitting poppy, cuz it was an outburst.
Yeah he wants to be seen as a antagonist but it's only because he wants to get enough popularity from the audience so he can get further down in the game.
This is all headcanon and stuff this is just something I've noticed with Vick. It's something that I really like about him. Not not a demon who wants nothing more than seeing people around him suffer and die, he just knows what to do in order to live longer in this game that he USED TO RUN?? Y'know? Lol.
Tldr; I see Vick as "I'll only be mean / kill / hurt others for the sake of getting the audience to stay interested in me, also for views. Grew up with this show and struggled to keep it as entertaining as I can and now it physically ruined my moral views. But I still CARE and see these assets as human. Somehow. Maybe a little."
