Sending Feelers for a Coding Group
Are there any coders/skinners out there in the jcink coding community that would be interested in creating/joining a coding community where members produce 1 free premare skin or set of resources each every 1-3 months? It would be more about having fun with coding while being productive and contributing without too much pressure. Not quite jcink skinathon but... sort of?

Hey friends, I’m just here to plug Free Code Camp for anyone that wants to learn how to code! It’s a great resource that walks you through all the fundamentals from css to javascript to python. It’s 100% free and each course comes with a certificate of completion that you can use on your professional resume, too. Plus, it’s run by a nonprofit whose sole goal is to teach people how to code.
It’s a great place to start if you want to learn how to build your own skins, or how to build some cool scripts for your forums. Each course is ~300 hours, but it’s worth the time commitment.

A free accessibility widget to add to your forum! I cannot recommend this enough, especially if your skin’s default is a font size 12px or smaller. It not only offers several font sizes larger, but can also make your forum dyslexic-friendly, adjust contrast, stop animations, and more to the exact needs of your users.
Personally, I won’t join a site if the font size is smaller than 13px. I’m nearing 30 and I’m not going to strain my eyes or zoom a webpage. It’s 2021 and we need to be better about designing responsive skins. But if that fails, use a widget like this instead.
