what dg matches would you reccomend?

as someone who may or may not be getting into a wrestling event in june, studying technical folks is part of it for me.

i want to be clear since obviously it's very much not the same (ANYBODY reading this, look up lez get physical, that's what i'm looking at and they are cool), where the performance aspect lies is in a different spot between your average pro wrestling show and LGP, understanding ground technique besides the average conditioning to even do something like this matters.

Daniel Garcia vs. Dontae Smiley 01.05.2021 (SOA). really dope i need to find more dontae. finish is something i’ve never seen before, like an ankle lock via lifting dg’s legs up out of a sharpshooter

Daniel Garcia vs. JD Drake 07.05.2021 (Limitless). he’s such a crybaby in this one it’s Nearly perfect (passing out from an ankle lock fuck offffff). i go back to it a lot

Anthony Greene vs. Daniel Garcia 31.07.2021 (Limitless). dg's a huge bitch it's great. really funny bit at the start where he refused to hand the ref his belt bc he’s admiring it for a minute straight unmoving, and everyone is getting increasingly pissed off

Daniel Garcia vs. Mike Bailey 30.01.2022 (PWG). a PWG garcia classic. their 1 hr iron-man match that was never released is my white whale

i'm gonna start talking too much about dg vs danielson down below. but tell me if you want more recommendations i have plenty. thanks again for asking

Bryan Danielson vs. Daniel Garcia 17.08.2022 (AEW). danielson is so smug and shitty in this; you can feel his burning resentment for dg not seeing the light and wanting to teach him a lesson about it, especially before the first fall. the second fall flash pin to danny is exhilarating. straight up the only reason this isn’t Perfect is that ddt on the outside looked mid + there’s tv wrestling punch pulls. the post match is the only Great thing jericho has done for danny: give him a reason to reject him. the “YOU’RE A WRESTLER” chants get me going every time. danny rubs his face against danielson’s dick. yup good match

6. Bryan Danielson vs. Daniel Garcia 06.12.2023 (AEW). i'm not sure if this is my favorite dg match or not but it's made me cry at least three times so i think it has to be by default. something about this match kind of symbolizes dg's identity as an underdog that can never quite reach his potential. he wears latex black trunks and brings back the Red Death towel for the first time in months after having just left the JAS, he's facing a man that palpably resents him for not joining him in the BCC (danielson fucking spits on him post-match), and he loses! again!!!!!! FUCK!!!!!!!!! the visual of his face in his hands as he sits on the apron and dragon celebrates behind him makes me want to punch a hole though a wall
