ive been feeling artsy recently so here are two pieces I made.

my brain has been consumed with olive drab once again and i blame these two specifically. my roommate and i are watching the show from the beginning! i got a box set for my birthday a couple years ago and finally decided to start it. yankee doodle doctor is one of my fav episodes and this shot just stuck in my head. look at them. i love gays

i never really watched the trapper part of the show before now, which i hadn’t realized. bj is who i remember more being hawkeye’s foil (i guess? there’s probably a better word for that). all that to say, i LOVE trapper. his comedic timing works so well with hawk’s and they remind me of a middle aged gay couple. they’ve got the relationship that every time it’s depicted a little light comes on in my brain saying “that’s what you want”.

that’s kinda why i drew this shot specifically, it’s silly but look at how they smile at each other. it’s genuine, knowing. they look seconds away from kissing. you can’t convince me that they weren’t in love at least a little.

i’m not even sure all these thoughts connect how i think they do. just know that these guys and their relationship bring me joy as a gay man.
