DEMPSIE IS ABOUT TO LEVEL UP! 

Put your game faces on, Mr. Joe Dempsie is on the verge of clearing the 29th level! Please join us in helping him unlock this accomplishment on June 22nd. The festivities will commence at precisely 7:00PM at Dave’s townhouse in the Downtown Historical District. 

The rules of the game:

RSVP-ing isn’t necessary but if you’d like to let us know you plan to attend, that would be appreciated. This way, we can ensure there’s enough food and drink for everyone. Shoot JGL or Dave a message to get added to the count. 

A few classic arcade games, some mini arcade games, as well as two large screen televisions equipped with an Xbox One and PS4, will be available for play. Feel free to bring along extra controllers, your favorite games and/or any other game consoles you might wish to share for the evening. 

Snacks and refreshments will be provided, but if you have something specific you’d like to be drinking, bring some along! 

Arrive a few minutes early if possible so everyone can be in place when the guest of honor arrives. 

Most importantly: Don’t tell him, it’s a surprise! 

Bonus Points if you let him win a few rounds!

Welcome to your 30′s, dude. It’s not as bad as people say. Anyway, I started with the gaming chair because let’s be real, we all need one. It’s comfy and even has a spot to hold your beer. What more could you ask for? How about a balls scratcher? Now you don’t have to stick your hand down there when things get a little uncomfy. Still not enough? How about a beer weight - now you can legitimately drink and work out at the same time. Who needs to the gym when you’ve got beer, right? 

Anyway man, one fucked up night in Georgia (does anyone actually remember what happened?) and look at us now! You’re a cool dude and I’m glad to be able to call you a friend. Or a dick. Usually both.

JOE D’S 30th BIRTHDAY PARTY

Everything you need for a happy gamer. There’s enough pizza to feed an army, candy, munchies and a couple fridge’s full of beer and other adult bevvies. Plus a wide selection of video games, including classic arcade (full and mini) and both XBox and PS4. Remember to bring a controller if you have one and any games you might like to share for the night (video games, consoles, board games whatever!). We didn’t require and RSVP, so come one, come all! Starts now over at Dave’s new pad and goes until....late. GAME ON!

Jak and Daxter 30 Day Challenge:

30. Have any unanswered questions?

(because I got carried off by work and tiredness from work I never finished this but here I am now)

Okay, so here is something I have always wondered.

Jak goes into Dark Eco, even after being pumped with it... that equals death. Dark Eco is crazy bad shit for basically everybody.

But then there is Daxter, as far as we know, the only one to completely go into the goop, and come out alive.

Why? Why him? Why did he get transformed into a Precursor form, for that matter?

I am not sure if this ever got cleared up or a specific reason as to why he was seemingly chosen. I have heard something along the lines of there's some sort of essence of Precursors in Dark Eco(if not all Ecos) and when Daxter went in, the essence some how affected him or chose him and he came out as an Ottsel.

But...Why? I think I've also heard the subsequent theory that it's because he was chosen a essential to keeping Jak alive and motivated to save the world, and I'll be damned if I don't think Jak's been kind of a cosmic, world-saving pawn in all of this. Daxter is Jak's support so I suppose I can see him being a different sort of cosmic pawn to keep Jak on his path, thus he was spared from the Eco and given a different form that motivated Jak onto his first journey to save the world, which of course led to the other ones??

But I mean I don't know if that's actual canon or where that theory came from. Either way, though, it is implied that Daxter is somehow special in this way, that he survived the Dark Eco pit and was turned into the physical form of a Precursor...Though he wasn't given any of their powers.

--Also though I would like to know more about what happened in the whole overthrow of Damas, and if he and Praxis had been friends at any point and also what happened to Jak's mom(I would like to think that like Jak, she was a quiet and gentle but a powerful warrior)
