I met JDSY (a.k.a. Joey Sims) in 2006 at an Ann Arbor co-op party featuring cool live music and have been intrigued by him and his music ever since. Below is an interview about his musical work in IDM (intelligent dance music), electronica, and various genre combos. We start the discussion focusing on his musical beginnings and then traverse to the recent release of his single “Shining Sun,” by Culdesac Kids Records, which is available in two versions, the second version called “Shining Sun (Dos),” which are both available on the Culdesac Kids Records Soundcloud page.
