Are we putting in Listener Request Summer submissions already? Because it's time to talk about mother fuckin XENOGEARS
If Xenogears gets voted for LRS, it’ll probably be a multi-episode endeavor because holy moley, Xenogears is off the chain!

Seconding that earlier sentiment: Thank you for sharing your game goofs with us; this podcast is a treasure and you guys rule. My road trips have been empirically improved by being able to listen to you two crack jokes about time streaming
Thanks so much!
It’s funny. Before we started doing this podcast, neither of us considered ourselves fans of time travel stories. But then we started looking at our favorite games and whoops, we’re a couple of Doc Browns.
Treasure of the Rudras is a pretty great mid-tier JRPG. It's an SNES game by Squaresoft from the tail end of the console cycle that never got ported, but has a few unofficial translation patches. The music is great and it's got some interesting elements for an SNES title, like a Build Your Own Spell system and Three Contemporaneous Storylines to play through, meaning a bunch of crazy nonsense happens during the game that only makes sense after you've played all three main characters, if then.
A lost Squaresoft game, you say? Well, “lost” isn’t the right word, I guess, but still. Sounds cool! I really like the idea of playing as a character who occasionally sees glimpses of someone else’s crazy adventure and is just like “Dang.”
Not to dissuade you from releasing a remake of your Bastion ep, but if someone happened to have saved a copy of it back before Tindeck imploded, would you want it, and if so, what would your preferred delivery method be
E-mail it to [email protected]! It’d be good to have a backup in case we have trouble finding time to revisit Bastion in the near future.
Just realized there's no Operation: Darkness ep, despite it being mentioned in the inaugural post. Just curious whether it's being saved for a hypothetical All Werewolves Spookchamber?
Operation: Darkness is one of those game that we put off in the beginning for its length. Condensing everything we wanted to talk about in a 60 hour game into a 1 to 2 hour podcast seemed near impossible.
But at this point we’ve done an episode on Final Fantasy 8, so we should really put Op:Darkness back on the table. A werewolf themed Spookchamber does sound appealing. Op:Darkness, Bloodborne...There must be other werewolf heavy games, but I’m blanking at the moment.
Okay I'm jonesing real bad for more cat-in-my-inventory people-and-places-sealed-in-dungeons suddely-submarines-exist wait-what-time-period-does-this-game-even-take-place-in style dream-logic after the Dark Cloud ep so you guys only have yourselves to blame for me nominating Terranigma for LRS again this time around.
*in Tolkein orc voice* Terranigma’s back on the menu, boys!
Alright then, I'm just gonna go ahead and request Dead Aim for LRS this year. I'm not super familiar with the other side games but I really hope we get a few in-depth episodes on them at some point (or maybe a combined ep for the ones that are too short for their own episodes), because I desperately need more information about Evil Danny Devito and Dark Leon
That makes Dead Aim our first submission for this year’s LRS! We’ll make a more formal announcement about accepting submissions on our next ep, but hey, we’re all friends here.
Shoot us some video game names, folks!
Where does Resident Evil: Dead Aim fall on the RE timeline? I was gonna request it for this summer but I don't want to mess up whatever kind of chronology you guys are going for with the series.
Dead Aim is deffo after RE3 and before RE4. It might be contemporary with Code Veronica? Not sure on that.
Feel free to submit it! We’re still not entirely sure how and when to handle all the RE side games anyway.
