jean is the best character in season 1 just the honest truth from me. he’s the underdog. he started out as a selfish prick who was only in it for himself and openly treated everything eren believed in like shit. then we watched him suffer and REALISTICALLY change. he has his convictions, but he’s also opened his heart to the same hope he would’ve spit on back in the cadet corps. he still doesn’t even fully trust in eren and the seeming hope he presents, but he believes in marco’s heart and what his hope did for himself.
also he’s so funny❤️
