talk about something that happened in middle school: so me and my friend were super obsessed with Team Fortress 2 and we were really excited about the “Meet the Pyro” video (part of a series that the game makes to give background to characters). So neither of us had phones that had internet, so we begged another friend if we could go on YouTube on her phone. We had her phone and we sat in front of the science classroom at break and we found the video on YouTube and watched it. But it was the complete opposite of what we expected, so we thought it was a fanmade video. We then went to the TF2 website to find the real video, and it turned out that was the real one. We spent the rest of the week freaking out about it. We don’t talk anymore because he became a furry.

nice. so you're going to school for web design? thats cool. What deferred me was money. The average salary in ohio isn't great and for one year at a school that offers web design was $30k a year. So im currently trying to get my bachelors in dietetics.
Well, it’s like a whole design degree but I’m majoring in web design. Holy! That sounds impressive! And why is it so expensive??? I guess it’s different in Australia because we don’t have to pay for uni right away. Like it goes on a debt thing that we start paying off when we earn over a certain amount. I’m not really sure??
I put a lot of time into my themes too but like I said, they're dead now and the images don't load it just kinda fell apart, not really by choice. I even considered web design to be my career for a part of my life but I went in another path. I do still enjoy coding - A LOT. But I just get too frustrated now because I dont have the time I used to. It would be nice to revamp my themes but its probably never going to happen. Plus I noticed that themes aren't as important as they used to be.
Web design can be very frustrating and I know what you mean about feeling burnt out. At this point I’m studying web design, working in web design, and creating themes in my spare time. It can be overwhelming but like you said, there is still a lot to enjoy about coding. Yeah, don’t worry about revamping and stuff. I think distributing themes really dims coding passion for a lot of people. I still think themes are important though, especially since so many people really struggle with the dashboard layout. For a lot of people, their personal blog is kind of a design haven. Idk, I’m rambling.
oh stop omg. I stopped themes forever ago because life got in the way. Coding is just a hobby now. My themes are dead now. Kinda pushed it behind me D: but I was just looking at your themes and i noticed you had a calc attribute and I looked it up and i've never ever seen that before. So genius. how are you so smart about it?????? I can never ever get my container right ever.
Ugh yes I know how that can go! I’m currently answering these questions in the uni library omg. But I feel like I’ve put in so much time and effort to ever totally abandon acuite. I actually just stumbled upon the calc thing when I was trying to find an answer for a totally separate issue. Either way, it worked out because I am obsessed with letting CSS do my math for me!
your coding is a piece of art. You know so much about it that it puts my 3 years of HTML and CSS to shame.
Thank you for the kind words but I have to disagree! I remember seeing your themes when I first started releasing them and thinking how impressive you were. I think we’ve both been coding for about the same length of the time though! Enjoy your day!!
