day twenty nine is a really really cute and lovely fic that was actually my holiday exchange present from last year! I used this art as a prompt and the author turned it into the most gorgeous little exploration of Combeferre’s pacifism and what that means for him in light of the violence of the barricades - and also some brilliant jecourferre ;) all in all it’s adorable, it has some excellent characterisation, and it even has strong hints at a happy ending!

For your pairing/month thing, are you doing ot3s? BC they're rare pairs but Jecourferre or Montprovaire+ Eponine in October (maybe Halloween??))

I’m pretty sure you asked me this about a year ago, but here I am finally ready to do it. Jehancourferre+October!

-we gotta talk about the drinks, first of all, October is prime time for fall drinks and you bet all three are into the aesthetic -Jehan goes for the seasonal hot cider/teas -Courfeyrac goes for the highest sugar level stereotypical white girl pumpkin spice kind of coffee-combeferre (when he doesn’t need the caffeine to stay awake) goes for hot chocolate with a lot of tiny marshmallows-lots of late night stargazing sessions with lots of blankets and thermoses full of hot chocolate and cookies-Courfeyrac always falls asleep early snuggled into Jehan and Combeferre, while Ferre and Jehan look through Ferre’s telescope and Jehan tells the mythological stories while Ferre lists the scientific names and discoveries from them-after they moved in together they bought a Giant bed and went all out, bought silk sheets and a bunch of pillows, it’s amazing-their whole flat is full of different textures and materials, no surface is uninteresting to touch because they all are touch sensitive and want the difference in texture-The rest of the Amis have to PREPARE for the three of them around Halloween-Think about it: Courf loves parties, Jehan loves the Romantic Spook, and Ferre loves the Paranormal Spook. HALLOWEEN IS THE PERFECT HOLIDAY FOR THEM-they hand sew the most amazing costumes together, nights of red wine and therapeutic sewing-lots of debates over the perfect costume design (mostly from Courf and Jehan) -Ferre fights against and loses the fight against sparkly costumes every single year-he can’t help but smile every time he has to wipe sparkles off his scrubs though, because he has the most amazing and beautiful partners wow-they always throw the most amazing Halloween party at their flat where they transform it into a Halloween wonderland, complete with a themed menu and homemade spiderwebs courtesy of Ferre
