x @jedilegacied SENT AN ASK ❝ you are never far from my thoughts. ❞ (you pick for who!)
" I nfeel the same."
@jedilegacied
Jacen had been stewing over this decision ever since he’d turned his ship towards Coruscant, still not certain he’d go through with it until the moment he was keying the code into Jaina’s door panel and stepping quietly into the darkened interior. It was still a little while until dawn and he didn’t want to wake her, but he knew he’d chicken out if he waited anywhere else. So he padded silently into the living room and settled on the couch, turning on the holo with the volume low for something to keep him occupied.
Finding an old nature documentary he’d loved as a child, about the wildlife on Naboo, he let it play and tried to distract himself from what he’d come to discuss. Just for a little while. Instead, the comfort of being so close to his twin and the familiar show in front of him lured him into his first restful sleep in quiet a while. Which is how Jaina would find him when she woke, long limbs sprawled every which way and old nature docs playing quietly over his low snores.

“Well, we’re not on fire. Yet.” Jag replied dryly, eyes darting across the screens in front of him with a small frown the only outward sign of distress. “But we’ve got multiple target locks on our engines, from a frankly staggering variety of ships. Who did you piss off this time?”

Jag entered the living quarters and looked around. His wife wasn’t presently visible, but he had a feeling she was there. As far as he knew, she didn’t have any plans for that afternoon.
“Jaina,” he called out, looking around, “where are you?”
He made his way into their small kitchenette, loading up the caf machine before starting it working. His life here on Coruscant had made him an utter addict to the stuff. He would have regretted ever starting to drink it, but it did seem to make the day more bearable.

“Ben, your nose is not broken…” Jaina shook her head at him as he nursed the surely painful crack he’d taken. He was in one piece, but there was no way that hadn’t hurt. “Didn’t I just tell you to keep your block up? Don’t let your guard down just because we’re using training sabers and not real ones. You’re too good for that kind of a mistake.” She knew Ben could more than hold his own against most people. Against her? Probably not yet, but he’d get there. She had every faith in him in that regard. But for now, maybe it was time for a break. “Let’s get some ice for that so you don’t end up with too big of a bruise.”
“I think it’s broken,” Ben insisted, holding on hand over his face protectively. “It hurts like crazy.”
He did know better. He’d let his block down for a fraction of a second and his cousin had taken advantage of the lapse. He wondered, momentarily, if his pride was hurt more than his nose. He prodded the area gently with a finger and winced.
It was not just his pride. There was blood, even.
“A coldpack would be good,” he agreed, pushing himself to a standing position. “I might need a couple of minutes of a healing trance, too.”

Gavril isn’t much a fan of cantinas, even––or perhaps especially––this one in Mos Eisley. As good of a place as it is to pick up bounties, it’s also about as likely, if not more so, to find trouble.
Something that Issa seems to prove on a regular basis.
[ At least, by now, most of the regulars have learned not to tussle with her. He supposes it must be a different sort of challenging, fighting someone who can’t feel the pain to know when to stop. Of course, not feeling it doesn’t mean invulnerable, and it doesn’t mean that she doesn’t have to be patched up later. In fact, usually, it meant more patching up. ]
For now, however, the place seems to be quiet. They had missed the initial release of bounties for the day and, in doing so, the rush––certainly not on purpose––and that had meant the place was fairly empty when they arrived. He had taken up his place in a back corner booth that affords him a view of the room and the door and anyone in the cantina, and, after collecting the remaining offerings to review, Issa had joined him. As she looks over them, weighing their best options, a movement at the door catches his attention.
He vaguely recognizes the young woman who enters though he can’t quite place why, or from where he might know her. Judging by her attire and her gear, she’s likely another bounty hunter, but he doesn’t believe she’s one who they’ve crossed paths with before, at least not in any substantial way.
So why does she seem familiar?
That familiarity is likely what brings him to watch her, trying to discern the reason for it…

“Jaina!” Leia rushed to pull her daughter into her arms, she had felt Jacen’s death in the Force and knew Jaina must have felt it too, and now her daughter needed her.
“Oh Baby, I’m so sorry.”
Hey, aren’t little brothers supposed to be a pain in the ass? How come you’re so sweet?
“ I baby.”
