HINATA is an experienced traveler. he’s been out of the country so many times that he’s basically packing up last minute with no worries at all. and if you need help in packing, he definitely would help you; maybe even carry some of your stuff in his luggage. the more he visits the airport, the lesser he cares about airport fashion; he simply wears a hoodie and sweatpants but will gladly offer the hoodie if you’re cold
BOKUTO is the type to wear those “return to y/n if lost” shirts even when you’re still at the airport. he loves it 100% he never takes it off. he light-heartedly urges you to wear the matching “i’m y/n” shirt which you agree to! although he could be regretting that decision because now everyone knows your name. might get airsick on the plane but luckily you’ve come prepared with medicine and a lil smooch on the forehead <3
NISHINOYA is also super prepared! he prepared a travel itinerary of your entire trip and all his favorite places! the downside is that he ends up losing it just as you’re at the airport. instead, you go to every local food spot and try out the food! he’s the type to ditch the utensils and just eat with his clean hands just because. (it’s the filipino in me pls) he takes you to the local ports and takes you on a pretty boat ride (if you’re naturally seasick i’m so sorry 😭)
TSUKISHIMA falls asleep at the airport. he’s tired from his job at the museum and late night vb practice, but he’s glad he made time for your trip. he won’t admit it but he was secretly taking pictures of you admiring the scenery. he also buys a souvenir from every place you’ve been to, even if it hurts your pockets. he holds your hand all the time too; he says it’s to not lose you in a crowd but honestly, who is he fooling?
ATSUMU gives you a piggyback ride throughout the airport which makes the people turn their heads. he’s the type to offer you his jacket if you’re cold on the plane but ask for it back when he’s the one cold. he also (lightheartedly) fought you for the window seat. he means well, i promise. you ask him to take your pictures? he’s on it! you’re bored? his crappy dad jokes have you covered! orders the hotel’s food for breakfast because he wakes up too late for the breakfast buffet ohno (may i include: sleepy bf atsumu candid photos teehee)
YAMAGUCHI lost in a rock-paper-scissors game so he has to carry all your luggage at the airport. he’s super okay though don’t worry !! even with all that, he manages to hold your hand tightly so you won’t get lost. you both fell asleep on the bus so now you’ve missed your station in an unfamiliar place ohno :(( but now you have twice the adventure he’s so smart for that!! he tries his absolute best to speak english and it’s just the cutest thing. you secretly take as many candid pictures of him as possible and now you’re having a hard time choosing which one to make your wallpaper. for midnight snacks, you both go for a convenience store run in your pajamas
KUROO loses his passport two days into your trip, oh god. he pretends he’s okay but in reality he’s losing it. luckily! he finds it under his bed PHEWWW. he recommends you all his favorite songs and books when you’re killing time at a layover or on the plane. when you first arrive, he’ll want to eat at the first fancy restaurant he sees, which is probably fine because this man has POCKETS. also because he doesn’t know how to cook, so you’ll be eating outside the rest of the trip. he’s always styled up no matter where you’re going; and at one point he asks you to take a picture of his ootd. he also asks if you wanna head over to the local starbucks almost all the time
KENMA spaced out, so he gets lost everywhere with you. he takes polaroids of you, since he’s a rich n fancy mf. loses to you in a game of rock-paper-scissors, so he now has to give you a piggy back ride from the airport until you reach your hotel. he pays for the food even when you have money; although he messes up because he used his card when he’s supposed to pay in cash, so you end up paying for the both of you. he gets bored easily, so you both end up playing games in your hotel room.

it’s about 6am, two hours before breakfast is served at the week-long training camp, so you decide to take a shower early before anyone else is awake and hogging the hot water
you walk out of the managers’ room and you’re not quite surprised to find tsukishima walking out of his room too, ready to take a shower
he finished his bath before you did, so he’s stuck waiting for you outside the girls’ bathroom (he really didn’t have to though, he just waited so you wouldn’t be lonely ☹️)
you walk out in your fresh change of clothes and a towel wrapped around your head, which he says nothing about, so you both just keep walking to the sink outside to brush your teeth
for some reason you’re the first to finish brushing your teeth, so you just kinda lean on the sink while you wait for him, finally unwrapping the towel from your head to air-dry your hair.
“hey [y/n],” he muffles through toothpaste foam before spitting it out. “if it’s okay, could i possibly…try to…uh…try…combing your hair?” (you swear you see a blush form on his face but you don’t say anything)
you’re kinda shocked at his request but you guess he’s just curious on what combing long hair feels like? either way, he rarely asks stuff like this from you, who are you to say no? “of course, why not?”
the both of you walk back upstairs to get your comb and sit on the stairs, him sitting one step higher than you
for some reason he’s so nervous, like he probably thinks your hair is so delicate it would fall off in one comb because he runs the comb ever so gently through your wet hair
compared to how agressive you comb your hair, you almost yanked the comb from his hand . a l m o s t
instead, you giggle at his delicacy as he continues to comb your hair - until he stops in confusion. “what?” “(laughs) you...you’re so gentle with my hair it’s adorable,” you throw yourself backwards to his chest in continuous fits of giggles
“...i’m not supposed to?” “well i’m not,” “whatever, i’m the one with the comb, so whatever i say goes.” and the both of you stick your tongues out at each other like children (heck yeah playful banter)
he honestly doesn’t know when he’s supposed to stop because you havent specified how long he should be doing this for,,, so mans just keeps combing your hair endlessly
you, on the other hand, are wondering the same thing
but it’s not a problem for either of you, you have at least an hour and forty minutes before the rest of the volleyball players wake up
