Okay, so I was reading a fic and one sentence was like 'they'd only known each other for a few days.' And like this was after Kansas City so I was like there's no way.

And so I did the calculations, from Boston to Bill's general location it would have taken them at least 5 hours. But because they slept twice their's two days, and obviously Joel's said five hours.

Than I calculated how long it would take to drive to Kansas City from Bill's general location and it's about 21 hours straight across, but they mention having to refill the gas thing every hour. So unless they had multiple gas container things (idk the name of them) then they'd probably be 17 days to get their.

But we only see them sleep once before they get to Kansas City and by the end of episode five adding the two sleeps while in Kansas City they've known each other a week.

Than I calculated how long it would take to walk to Cody, Wyoming and it's 13.5 days not counting sleeps.

But if they go off the games they might be in Jackson or somewhere near there. Which why are there so many Jacksons in the us. But than I was like duh Wyoming.

So walking to Jackson Wyoming is 14 days.

So it's more likely they're in Cody, Wyoming.

Which means when they find Tommy the next episode they'd known each other for at least 20 days.

But also that makes no sense because if they follow the game timeline it's summer when they start, probably mid summer or near the end idk. And when they get to Tommy it's fall.

So what the actual fuck is the timeline and how long have they known each other?
