Birthday Fic Fest #1 - Jefferson/Madison + Dodge

The moment that James spotted Thomas heading his way, he impatiently waited for his boyfriend reach him before grabbing his arm and dragging him down a random hallway. Thomas only raised an eyebrow at James as he waited for an explanation.

“This is not where I meant to go, James.”

“I am quite aware of that; I decided to do you a favor instead.”

“A favor? What do you mean?”

James stopped walking once they were far enough down the hallway then he turned to look at Thomas.

“Hamilton.”

Thomas scowled at the mention of his rival.

“What about him?”

James huffed as he resisted rolling his eyes at the dramatics.

“He’s been nonstop all morning and I am sure you do not want the headache this early in the day.”

Thomas crossed his arms and leaned against the wall.

“You do have a point there. It seems I must thank you for sparing me from the torture.”

“Thank me?”

Smirking, Thomas moved towards James causing the other man to back up until his back hit the wall.

“Oh, I have some ideas and we are, it seems, in an empty hallway.”

Thomas placed hand on each side of James’ head as he pressed his chest against his friend’s, effectively trapping the man.

Meeting Thomas’ gaze, James was surprised by the intensity that he saw there though he shouldn’t be as he knew the other man could be quite forceful in his arguments with Hamilton.

“Do you really think this is the time for this?”

James ignored the thought that he wasn’t complaining about what Thomas wanted to do.

Thomas licked his lips.

“For you, I have all the time.”

“Thomas, you’re drunk.” 

Of course, drunk was a severe understatement because right now, Thomas was somewhere between completely plastered and severely shitfaced, which made James wonder why he had even allowed him to get within five feet of the stove, let alone allow him to make mac-n-cheese.

“Just cause I’m drunk doesn’t mean I don’t make bomb ass mac-n-cheese.”

One of these days James is going to summon up the courage and finally tell Thomas that his mac-n-cheese is mediocre at best, that is, unless Alexander beats him to it. 

“It’s 2AM, why are you even making it?”

“Because I’m hungry.” Thomas answers back immediately as if it’s the most obvious thing in the world. 

Several minutes later, the pasta is finally finished and Thomas pours the macaroni into the other pot with the cheese sauce before sticking a spoon in it and proceeding to carry the entire pot towards his bed room. 

“Yo, hold on, where are you going with that?”

“To my room.” Thomas shoots back with the same sassy tone as before. 

“You’re taking the entire pot of mac-n-cheese to your room?”

“Yes. Now are you coming or not?”

James should say no. James should be a sensible person and just let Thomas wake up in a mess of cheese and macaroni because without his assistance he will undoubtedly still the entire content of the pot on himself and just proceed to fall asleep instead of cleaning it up. Then again, if he were a sensible person he probably would have never become friends with Thomas in the first place, so he finally follows him into the bedroom a few moments later.

Inside, James finds Thomas already reclined against the headboard and spooning mac-n-cheese into his mouth. He pats the empty side of the bed when James enters. 

“If you spill that, I’m leaving.” He says as he sits down, leaving a little space between them that Thomas could easily bridge, and he does, several minutes later. 

James thinks nothing of it at first, Thomas’s has been resting on his thigh since he sat down but it only started drifting up and towards the waistband of his sweatpants now. 

“What are you doing?”

“Hmm, just relax.”

Thomas’s hand reaches inside his sweatpants now and it should be noted that he’s still eating the mac-n-cheese resting another his other side. 

“Thomas, you’re drunk.” 

“Tell me to stop and I will.” His hand stops, now resting on the waistband of James’s boxers as he waits for a response. 

“You’re drunk.”

“Is that a stop then?”

James pauses for a moment. “No.”

“No what?”

Another pause. “No, don’t stop.” 

Thomas smirks around a mouthful of mac-n-cheese and finally dips his hand into James’s boxers. “That’s what I thought.”
