Daisy/Mace Fluff
“Did you know we’re trending on twitter?” Daisy said, sitting at the table and staring at her phone. “They want us to run for office in 2020.” Mace snorted.
“That would work so well, the vigilante and the fraud. I can see the campaign already.” Mace sat across from her in the empty room. They were waiting for the others to come back from a new assignment Coulson had taken them on. So far they hadn’t made it on the news so Mace was relatively relaxed.
“At least we already have a slogan,” Daisy quipped, “An America that trusts is an America that…”
“Stop, please. I can’t believe I said that so many times.” He groaned, looking very uncomfortable, “I think I was hoping it would subconsciously make you trust me.”
“Not lying about being an inhuman might have helped.” She said teasingly, moving through the kitchen and grabbing two beers from the fridge, handing one to him.
“I thought we’d moved past that, Coulson has moved past that.” He looked pleadingly up at her. She’d told him to stop apologising so he replaced the verbal apologies with a form of non-verbal communication he’d soon become quite adept at.
“I know we might look identical,” she said sarcastically, “but Coulson and I don’t share the same opinion on everything.” She moved to sit next to him, her back facing the table while he leant his head on the surface. “The thing that makes me the most uncomfortable is that my father invented that serum. And he was not fun to deal with.” Mace looked up at her, slightly confused.
“I swear, someone has got to give me a brief history of the last four years.”
“Basically I finally met my dad but he was injecting himself with a serum so he turned into a werewolf.” He looked back at her, completely expressionless. He took a swig of the beer before returning,
“See, I just can’t tell when you’re being serious.”
“I never joke about werewolves.” She was deadpan until she started laughing at his shocked face. “How about we do a real history lesson at dinner sometime?” He nearly choked on the beer but tried to play it off.
“Dinner? As in…” Daisy immediately regretted what she’d said. He wasn’t her type. She liked the young, soul searching men. That’s all her past boyfriends had in common. As much as she didn’t want to admit it, she wanted someone to lean on. All her previous boyfriends had been filled with angst, and she supposed she had been too. But she’d grown up very quickly. She’d had to after being thrust into the spotlight. She couldn’t escape Shield now. It was going to be a part of her life forever, and more importantly, she had no reason to distance herself anymore. Besides, Mace was so mature compared to everyone else, he treated her like a human being. He didn’t burden her with personal history, but he wasn’t completely closed off either. He didn’t endlessly complain about how his life before SHIELD was better. He knew what he was getting into and despite a few issues, he was very good at his job.
“As in a date.” She said quietly, glancing over at his reddening face. Mace had turned so he was facing her, his knees against her thigh as he sat perpendicular to her.
“Daisy. I don’t usually…” But his hand was playing with her hair before he could finish the sentence. He was admiring how soft it was, and more importantly how easy it was to be sitting with Daisy like this. She was incredible, the strongest woman he knew. She closed her eyes as he played with her hair, slowly letting the short locks fall through his fingers. Daisy was astounded at how simple the moment was. He wasn’t asking anything of her. She opened her eyes slowly and looked at him. Their eye contact felt like it was lasting eons until she leant forward and kissed the corner of his mouth. She leant back slowly and tried to gauge his reaction. She was used to kissing someone for the first time in high tension moments. But slowly testing the boundaries with him was more interesting and somehow more intimate. He might be her superior, but that had been forgotten in the moment. He smiled shyly at her before cupping her cheek and kissing her. It felt familiar to them both. It was so easy. There wasn’t any pressure on them, there was no danger and they were safe. They broke apart after a few seconds and Mace gently nursed his beer, not able to wipe a small smile off his face.
“Dinner sounds nice.”

3 Must See Trail Riding Videos To Get Your Weekend Riding Started Off Right There aren’t many videos that get me as amped about hitting the trails as these 3 favorite mountain biking videos of mine. While, few of us will ever achieve the level of riding in these scenes, these expressions of flow capture what we all experience in some way or another when out in nature on two wheels. Enjoy!…

W końcu wskoczyłem na rower w styczniu! 2,5h jazdy + 30min na ubranie wszystkich warstw na siebie 😂 Ale arto było! Warunki w Lasku kapitalne, ZERO soli, a wszystkie ścieżki białe, wydeptane i zmrożone ❄️❄️❄️.
