Puggy backing off something @wintersdeadd has said on Jei about getting jealous when Usagi smells like someone else. The only time Usagi cares is if he has a scent of one of the ninja clans he often has to fight on him, and Jei gets a kick out of how ridiculous he is about it.

I don’t have it on hand, but there was a page in Usagi Yojimbo that showed Miyamoto Usagi shirtless and surprisingly muscular.

This combined with a comment on one of my posts saying Jei could be a femboy, I have concluded that Miyamoto would be the top in their relationship.

Jei is the best potential partner for Usagi because he’s:

Not married

Doesn’t have work obligations

Can’t die

Literally frothing at mouth to be near Usagi

Hear me out: what If Usagi somehow purges the demonic elements from Jei and is left with Jizonobu?

And now he has to watch over and heal one of his greatest foes, despite Jizonobu being nothing like Jei and is most likely being consumed by grief by what he has done?

What if Jizonobu in turn helps Usagi with his own issues with faith and regret?

I normally hate the whole “ship protagonist with their arch nemesis” trope because it goes against canon and reduces a clash of ideals to a melodramatic soap opera, but JEI X USAGI WORKS AND I DONT KNOW WHYyyyYyYyyYyY.
