Honestly, I looked into TAZ, and with it being a D&D thing, I had to wonder why Dobson likes it, even though he hasn't been fond of D&D in the past. Then I found out that the one comic was based off the arc with a lesbian character. Go fucking figure, he doesn't really care about anything else I'm certain besides gaining points and his lesbian fetish.
Part of it is definitely the lesbian character, the other part being that back in the 90’s and early 00’s, the general thought was that only guys played D&D. So of course Dobson shit all over it, because “ugh, MEN!”
But nowadays not only are women more vocal about the fact that they play, there’s also D&D shows that have big fanbase of men and women. So Dobson has to immediately backtrack on everything he’s said about D&D( he wrote a Twitter thread/Facebook that was essentially “people say I don’t take criticism, but THE PATRIARCHY made me hate D&D and now I love it”) and starts sucking up to whatever the most popular D&D fandom he can find(The Adventure Zone) by drawing comics, fanart, ect.
