Have I. Ever shared my height chart
Really rough bc it's for personal use and I have a bajillion of these fuckers
Each square is 5' that human is a Little Guy
Fishing splashing with mama*
*Jellybugs have weird alien genders so in this context “mama” is just being used as an affectionate term for guardian/parent

Jellybug Anatomy Overview
Crest. Highly variable between individuals, but almost always has two main points - one on the nose and one on the back of the head. The crest is an exposed part of the mesoskeleton. Crests are for display rather than fighting.
Eyes. Jellybug eyes are large and adapted to low-light environments. They have two centers of acuity (meaning their vision has two focal points) stacked on top of each other, leading to their pupils being shaped like an 8 or a peanut. The second diagram displays how the shape of the pupils changes in high and low light environments. For the most part just a Jellybug's iris is visible, but the yellow sclera can show with extreme eye movement.
Electroreceptors. Jellybugs have small divots on their chins that house electroreceptors.
Display fangs. While display fangs can be used to hunt or as weapons, they are less durable than the other teeth or radula (see below), and are mostly used for reproductive purposes. These fangs can vary quite a bit in length between individuals.
Mask. Formed by a stiff ridge of quills on a thin layer of skin around the face. The mask acts like a sonar dish, aiding in hearing. It also covers the ear canal, keeping it safe from debris.
Soft quills. Though still pokey, the soft quills are more flexible, but not as strong as the skeletal quills (see below). Soft quills vary in length, amount, and density between individuals, and are usually present of the mask/face, neck, chest, and haunches. These quills are hollow and quite light. They can be shed (or can be plucked) and regrow like hair or feathers.
Skeletal quills. Another exposed part of the mesoskeleton, skeletal quills are stiffer and stronger than soft quills. They can be raised and lowered like the fur of a cat. Exact placement of skeletal quills varies between individuals, but always emerge along the spine, usually behind the shoulders and at the base of the tail.
Hands. Three digits - 2 fingers and a thumb.
Front feet. Five digits - 4 toes and one sickle claw.
Back feet. Four digits - 4 toes.
Pneumostomes. A Jellybug's airways. They have 6 on the neck, 8 on the flank, and 10 on the tail - mirrored. The pneumostomes open to a long tube-like lung. They can be consciously controlled individually, and are able to make a wide array of sounds, even multiple at once.
Primordial pouch. A soft spot on the belly where fat deposits and the reproductive organs are. This is what causes that line on Jellybug’s sides. The edge of the mesoskeleton often creates a faint line in contrast to where the primordial pouch sticks out.
Retractable claws. Jellybugs have large, hooked retractable claws on their feet. The sickle claw and claws on the hands are not retractable.
Paw pad. There is a squishy, yet tough pad on the bottom of Jellybugs' feet. There are no pads on the hands or the sickle claw digit.
Blood. The blood and flesh is a dark blue-black. When concentrated (and especially when fresh) it is very dark, and when more spread out it appears bluer. It dries down dark grey-black.
Spacefarers (13/13)
View the rest of the spacefarers here.
Jellybugs (originally designed by @jillybean7111)
Large hexapodal creatures that, along with Sunseekers, hail from a damp terrestrial planet. The two species have been closely tied since prehistory, and are inextricably linked. Collectively, the two are referred to as Hiluheans. Together, they were the 5th group to enter the Interstellar Neighborhood 565 years ago.
Avg size: 5.5’ tall, 700-1100 lbs (1.68 m, 318-499 kg)
Oxyu
Large subterrenean aliens that hail from a mostly barren terrestrial planet that only has complex life in one cave system. Technically not yet spacefarers, Oxyu were accidentally discovered by a mining operation 22 years ago and have since been tentatively integrated into the Interstellar Neighborhood. They are the most recent (11th) addition to the Interstellar Neighborhood.
Avg size: 6’ tall and 21’ long, 270-300 lbs (1.8 & 6.4 m, 123-136 kg)
Slimarians
A slimy quadrupedal critter, and a very tentative member of the Interstellar Neighborhood. They are an invasive species accidentally picked up from a distant planet. They are very controversial, as they are dangerous and destructive - eating just about anything they can fit in their mouths (which includes several spacefarers), and creating a mildly acidic secretion that over time can damage organisms and ships - but they can be quite friendly and intelligent. Otherwise they are poorly understood, and have been part of the Interstellar Neighborhood for 73 years.
Size range: 6.5-11’ long, 75-150 lbs (2-3.4 m, 34-68 kg)
Sunseekers
A very large flighted organism that, along with Jellybugs, hails from a damp terrestrial planet. The two species have been closely tied since prehistory, and are inextricably linked. Collectively, the two are referred to as Hiluheans. Together, they were the 5th group to enter the Interstellar Neighborhood 565 years ago.
Avg size: 12' tall, 1400-1550 lbs (3.66 m, 635-703 kg)
Tapik
Small, feisty quadrupeds that entered the Interstellar Neighborhood fairly recently. Much of their lore is still a WIP. They were the 10th group to enter the Interstellar Neighborhood just 44 years ago.
Avg size: 2’ tall, 40 lbs (0.61 m, 18 kg)
Wahu
A mid-sized flighted creature that hails from a dying water world. They are covered in thin, velvety fur-like structures that rely on structural pigmentation. Wahu can flex these hairs to form complex patterns of light and color. They were the second known organism to achieve spaceflight, and formed the Interstellar Neighborhood when they met Firebacks shortly after - 2,031 years ago.
Avg size: 11’ long, 40-70 lbs (3.35 m, 18-32 kg)
Kooci
Special mention to Kooci, a large scaled quadruped from a dry sooty planet. They are not (yet) spacefarers themselves and are unaware of any current spacefarers. Due to their homeworld's place on the fringes of the Interstellar Neighborhood, the spacefarers in turn are hardly aware of them, either. There are very few exceptions.
Avg size: 4.3' tall, 500-700 lbs (1.3 m, 230-320 kg)
