Closer (french magazine) interviewed Ben Affleck when he was in Paris, an interview that will be completely released next week. However, they have already published an excerpt of it where he talks about his young life, Jennifer and what she means to him at the moment. Take a look:

Closer: In this movie, your character loses the love of his life. Did you use your own memories to interpret this role?

Ben Affleck : You know, the scenario of this feature was so rich that I didn’t have to dip into my own private life to play the character. It's no secret that I have had a few girlfriends in my life and you journalists have taken a malicious pleasure for two decades to cover my unions and breaks. I want to thank you for that. [he laughs] But I really didn’t need to use my romantic life to be inspired for this movie.

Closer: After the marital problems you had with your wife, the actress Jennifer Garner, now we see you very close to her again...

Ben Affleck : The only thing I can tell you is that she is an exceptional woman and an absolutely marvelous mother. Honestly, I could not have dreamed with better mom for my children. My favorite moment, it's the end-of-year vacations, because it's the time when I find myself several days alone with Jennifer and children to ski and enjoy simply being together without being disturbed by someone.

Closer: What do you still like about her nowadays?

Ben Affleck : She is a lovely lady who is for me a role model, someone for whom I have enormous respect. I'm extremely fortunate to have her in my life and she shows me the right way. I continue admiring her all the time.
