UNC Jazz performs at JEN 2016
The 2016 Jazz Educators Network Conference took place in Louisville Kentucky last week, and UNC Jazz Studies was out in force for the event. Performances by the Vocal Jazz Lab, UNC Vanguard Combo, Socrates Latin Jazz Orchestra, and the Dana Landry Quartet brought the house down in front of an audience of jazzers from around the world.
Graduate saxophonist Chang Su was recognized as the winner of the David Baker Scholarship Award, sponsored by Jamey Aebersold. Congratulations to Chang and to all the performers at this year’s conference!
