It counts as one day only if you tt backwards. I jumped 20 days forward. The paths were almost covered up, but not completely (the small ones were definitely covered). c:

It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that yesterday Cali, the beautiful kitty that our family was fostering until jenleisco could bring her back home, suffered a medical emergency that ended with Jen making the painful decision to put Cali to rest. Cali was a wonderful friend and member of the family. While we only knew her for 4 months, it didn't take long at all to bond with her. Everyone who met her would comment on her incredibly soft fur. She was very vocal, and would have conversations with us. While I am sorry that she had to leave her mama at all, I am thankful that it happened, because it meant meeting Jennifer & Memory. Jen, I am sorry for your loss. We feel it too.

Cali's healing very well from her surgery to remove a very large mammary tumor. She was very well taken care of by her vet, and we are thankful to his great care for her.
Cali is still recuperating from her surgery that happened on March 31st. The surgical site is healing well. It still has dried blood, but that is normal since she is unable to groom herself while in the cone. She seems happier. She gets her stitches removed next week. I will post a picture of her surgery site after this post. I am on mobile so I can't put it behind a cut. Sorry.
Red is off to go pick up Cali from the vet. Her surgery to remove the mammary tumor was a success.
Just found out Pop (my ex-wife’s dad) is in the hospital. They’re sending some of his kidney tissue off to the Mayo Clinic and that doesn’t sound good at all. I love him, I hope he’s okay. Hadassah (her mom) asked me to come over and help clean up the house so it will be ready when he is released from the hospital. Sounds simple, yes? No. Some of you may recall that Pop is a hoarder. While I have no problem rushing over there and doing it, I know that if he comes home and the house is empty of the things he had in it, it will cause severe problems and make everything worse. And considering that he would be recovering from his hospital stay...you don’t want to put him back in the hospital. So I’ll have to talk to Heather and see how she wants to proceed. Her and her wife are on the way now.
This is on top of Hadassah finding out that Nana (her mom) was rushed to the hospital for having a stroke. Not a good day.
At least Cali the kitty is doing well. That’s about the only happy thing from today so far. =(
I was pretty worried about Cali being okay to have surgery, since she’s 12 years old (you know, being okay with anesthesia and all that), until the vet said something about “really old cats.” When I asked what he meant by that, he said, “Oh, you know…17…18 year old cats. Cali is 12. She’s more middle aged.” I feel so much better. She’s been grooming that tumor so much it bleeds and I’m just worried about her.
She came out of LuRay’s room this afternoon while we ate dinner and explored the upstairs. I’m hoping she’ll feel up to roaming around the entire house after she’s recovered from surgery. And hopefully she’ll eat more. She’s been barely eating, and we’ve been worried about it.
Just got back from the veterinarian with Cali. We’ve set her surgery date for March 31st to remove the mammary tumor. Thankfully the surgery isn’t too expensive. At least, not as much as we thought it would be. Then perhaps she will start eating more and will find some relief. Aside from that, she’s a very healthy cat. Our vet commented on how great her teeth look for a cat her age. That’s always nice.
