three, fourteen, and eighteen for the writing asks please!
Hey buddy, appreciate you stopping by! I'll never be a power hitter, but if you want a softball placed on a dime, I'm your gal.
3 ⧽. what's something you like about your writing?
I gave a glib answer previously so this time I'll offer one that's more involved. So something I've noticed recently is that I feel like I've reached a level of writing skill where I know I can achieve what I want to do with a certain kind of narrative. Don't get me wrong, I'm not out here thinking I've mastered fiction writing, but I do feel a certain level of confidence when I'm working on stories within my wheelhouse of "swords and conversation": character studies that lean heavily towards action and dialogue. After 15 years of practice, maybe I've gotten good at it.
14 ⧽. is there anything outside of your normal content that you want to write?
I'd love to write original historical fiction but I'm currently intimidated by the amount of research I'd need to do for the idea I have in mind. I'm also tempted to start writing erotica for pay, but that's a whole 'nother can of worms. 😏
18 ⧽. how do you want your writing to feel to your readers?
I want readers to feel like they're right there in the moment, living the story as it's happening. I liken my work to a ride-along: you're sitting in the character's head, feeling what they feel, thinking what they think, immediate and utterly immersive.
At least, that's the goal. 😅
