I would have liked to keep going longer, but we had to stop bouncing on the trampoline eventually because jumping around in my tight binder was making me lightheaded. We lay down together on the mat, looking upward past the tall and shadowy gum trees in Sarah’s yard at the millions of stars. It was so quiet, all I could hear was the wind in the leaves.
Bree’s fingertips crept over and found mine. “Do you know any constellations?”
I shook my head, taking out my phone. “We can look them up.”
