If I turned one of the mice from an earlier art piece into a nearly full fledged OC, I might have to turn the others into OCs as well

I have this group of (first attempt at chibi) mice from an older post that are hinted to be familiar with Jollin.

But then, I went and took the one out in front and started doing a redesign and art with him as an OC that knew Jollin when they were younger.

I even ended up writing him into one of my major fanfics as a oneshot background type character outside of Jollin (since the fanfic is about Geumsaegi and trying to be canon as possible).

As for the others? I feel like I already have a visible personality for all of them, at least. It wouldn’t necessarily be hard to give them their own backstories and figure out how they interacted with Jollin in the past on the Weasel owned farm.

I’m kind of liking the names Galkwi, Meolcheo, Nongbu and Bilyo, although there are other names I have used for mice in the past that I have also liked.

I’ve been working on creating an archive for my older art works so I can have a timeline.

Not entirely sure what I was thinking with this one.

My boy would NOT smile like this. He would definitely still have a more tired, deadpan expression the first time I drew him or one of the more recent drawings.

I should really go back and give him his original eyes on a new figure.

Meanwhile, this random thing I drew of Jeomto has done wonders for helping to characterize Jollin.

Putting a serious Jollin who doesn’t stop working next to a mischievous Jeomto kind of helps me think of childhood and youth scenes for a more detailed backstory.

Since I have Jeomto as a wealthy merchant/onggi potter and Jollin as a lowly farmer, I could have him take Jollin as a friend when he visits the farm when they are children, which would help teach Jollin that he can get benefits and favors by being the favorite of a higher up (aka he won’t have to work himself to near collapse in the hot sun). And so, he forever strives to do his best, so that he can get praise and some sort of feeling of self worth.
