I found the original reference photos I used for Jollin’s Mail courier outfit
Definitely a nice photo, I really wanted the hat but at the time, I couldn’t figure out how to make characters wear hats and still show the ears.
Honestly, I really should have given him a bike, but there was no way this dormouse would have known how to use one before. So he just walks miles upon miles to deliver mail, unlike some of the other couriers that may or may not exist in Flower Hill.
But I’ve also just kind of been shoving as many buttons into his coat as possible, and also kind of making his muzzle smaller (I need to make him smaller to fit the shoe canon sizes, too, but I received physical models from family so I have to use those for a bit).
Recently, though, I found one of the much older mailman references I used, which was a doll.
Yeah, I think five buttons is enough, also based on other uniforms I’ve been seeing.
I don’t know if I have the time to completely redraw my old depictions of Jollin, unfortunately. He does have multiple uniforms, though, which is something he isn’t used to, and maybe he finds one style that he feels fits him the best and sticks with that.
The stylistic choices for the Brave Hedgehog Manhwa are great, although the bear is a bit confusing.
In the main series, Uncle Gom, a bear, is much larger than the other species
Meanwhile, the bear in the Brave Hedgehog Manhwa is about the same size as the other animals on Flower Hill, even smaller than the weasels.
He bears a striking resemblance (personality and size) to Gom the bear cub from Clever Raccoon Dog, so I thought it was a crossover before it was translated.
Even though it is not, why is the bear so much smaller than the weasels? Perhaps it is to symbolize that Flower Hill citizens are smaller and smarter than the larger brute enemies, since his small size does not stop his strength.
