Okay so I KNOW I'm supposed to just be working on my Secret Santa (Which I am working on, I swear!) but....but JEROY!

“I just…the house is loud.” Jerome admitted. “But even when its’ quiet, it’s like all my bad thoughts are given a megaphone. I’m just trying to keep busy. Focus on anything so I feel normal again.”

“I think I know something you could do.” Joy offered, undoing her tie. She passed it to Jerome, who looked down at it in confusion. “I hate the way the ties look.” She explained. “Could you make it look cuter? Like more of a crossbow tie, or something? I checked the school rule book, it’s allowed.”

“I’m never going to live down being the one who knows how to sew, am I?” Jerome commented, but he smiled for the first time in a long time. “Can I have your jacket too?”

Now it was Joy who looked confused, but she took it off and handed it to him without question. “See you later, Jerome.” She said as she walked off. Then, for a second, she stopped at looked back. “I had the opposite problem, you know. When I was stuck inside for months, it was like the entire world had gone silent. Maybe you could have some of my silence, if I could have some of your noise.”
