Piotr Tchaikovski, Eugenio Onegin («Kuda, duda vy udalilis?»). Jerry Hadley, tenor
I think this is my favorite version even though the percussion is slightly off at times, they’re all just so good! Tony (Jerry Hadley) & Maria (Louise Edeiken) sound amazing and Riff (Kurt Ollmann) & Bernardo (Robert Osborne) are incredible, they’re both so passionate and voices play off each other so well!
Also, the score is just, wow! NYC has such a presence. You hear the streets scream and swirl, they’re a subway rumbling under the melody.
