Thinking about writing a crossover between To Deny The Route & TCF

Its just a fun, no plot really idea that can go two ways:

1) Where Jerry is related to Cale and goes with his parents to visit Cale in Roan Empire. I did actually have a 300 words drabble gathering dust with that scenario. Mostly I just think it would be hilarious for Cale's gang to meet a kid who was sickly and (canonically) vomits blood when he gets too much stress. Whose mana is unstable and is harming him. The kid, who also makes friends with a prince who is the black sheep of the royal family, by the way.

Admittedly, i keep thinking Jerry's eyes and hair color are a lighter and brighter red color. I know it ISN'T and that it is likely brown hair and eyes but maybe it was due to the shading 😅.

2) Where Ilya (and Karyan) are related to Cale. Or actually, the whole royal family Deferious is related to the Thames. Because in To Deny The Route, the Deferious are recognizable to their inherent red eyes.

Though I wouldn't not know how to go further with this idea but since im working with crossover and one shot fic idea, it could

Have Cale be invited to Jerry and Ilya's wedding. If we go with the Thames are related to Deferious idea.

Raon, On, Hong, Choi Han, Rosalyn, Beacrox and Ron would accompany Cale, no question needed.

All the ancient powers would be hollering over the pair's unusual mana (for Jerry) and exceptionally powerfull mana (for Ilya).

Rosalyn would definitely notice and comment. Though she would be overjoy to hear Jerry's plan on becoming the magic tower's mage.

They would get to hear the romantic tale between the sickly count's son and the black sheep royal prince (pov outsider my beloved also i can imagine the side eyes Cale would get)

Do you ever have that one snack that is meh to others and it is to you at first but you sort of...just coming back to it? Like it's definitely not going to be in your list of top 10, it's not a work that is revolutionary or changing the landmarks in anyway, it's not bad but it's not good either but once in a while or maybe sometimes you just chew on it? It's my feelings with this manhwa.

It's an otome isekai BL that is quite cliché and whatever might be exciting or new is brushed under the carpet and never brought up again. The ending is rushed and the character arcs are underdeveloped. The artstyle is ok but it depends on your preference.

Still, this is not to bash the work. Because I like it. Like it enough to read it repeatedly by the way.

I like our MC, Jerry and the ML, Ilya. I think they are cute and so is their relationship. I honestly don't mind if this work is a fluffy slice of life romance story. In fact, I think it could have worked better that way.

I understand most disappointment in the reviews because initially the story gave us crumbs and hints of something deeper, whether it was political (the discrimination around status, the revolt, the fighting between royalty and nobles, etc.), the matter with the system (like why was it there, what is its purpose, how can Ilya sense its 'mana', is it a higher sort of existence, etc.) or personal growth (Jerry's feelings towards Ilya and the world he once considered a video game, his realization that everyone is real and living being, etc.)

I think in another writer's hand, it has potential to be 100+ chaps that can explore those points I mentioned above. Unfortunately it is what it currently is.

But yeah, if you don't mind a story to pass the time and which you don't have to use your brain much then I recommend this one.
